Story
Meet Milley Syd, a 6 year old, Shih Tzu/Bichon mix, who weighs a perfect 25 pounds of pure fluff and love. Milley is an affectionate lady who adores everyone - adults, children, and other dogs big and small.   This sweet girl has spent most of her life with her companion Josephine Syd, and they're hoping to find their forever home either together or Milley can go solo.   Forgot to mention this very important fact that she’s a champion cuddler: she loves nothing more than climbing into your lap for full body hugs, sitting up on her hind legs to get even closer.   Outdoors, Milley enjoys walks (she's great on a leash!) and running around her foster’s yard. So, a fenced yard would be a plus, but it's not a must. Inside, she's happiest close to her people, preferring to snooze on a cozy pet bed (bonus points if it's right on your bed!) rather than being crated. She is just not a fan. Milley is also both house and pee pad trained.   This lovely gal sits beautifully for treats and is always eager to please her favorite humans. She can be a bit vocal with sudden noises or people passing by her foster home, so no shared walls are recommended.   If you're looking for a devoted furry friend, who gives the best hugs, Milley Syd is ready to wrap you in love for years to come.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          February 14, 2026, 4:07 pm

Story
Meet Newt! This 7 month old is 6.5 pounds, and has a big personality!  She is sweet, loves being around people and is very playful. One of her favorite things to do is zoomie around the back yard ! Like all puppies, she will need continued work on housetraining, walking on a leash and other basic skills. She is used to being an only dog, but has done well in her foster home playing with other small dogs. Due to her size, a home without young children will be the safest fit for her. We are also seeking a home with a small breed approved fenced yard. Newt currently weighs about 6.5 lbs and her adoption fee is $660. Newt has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.  Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about Newt, please complete a survey at furkids.org.

Story
Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around!    Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!    Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly.     Edith is currently  living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans. She’s a one of a kind!   Interested in adopting our adorable little Ewok? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2622243##

Story
Meet Eedy!  We rescued Eedy back in May 2025 from a metro area shelter and it’s taken this long (and a lot of TLC) to get her ready for adoption! Severe upper respiratory infection; malnutrition; skin infection….this poor girl had it all when she came to us. But as you can see from the pictures, she’s a new woman now! It’s extremely difficult to guess age on dogs that have been neglected as much as poor Eedy has throughout her lifetime, but we’re going with somewhere between 9-11 years old. She definitely acts like she is on the lower end of that age range now that she’s feeling so so much better. Eedy is great with other dogs and cats, but truly all she wants out of life now is a nice quiet spot in the sun to nap and her very own person to trail along after, helping in the garden on nice days or curling up in front of a cozy fire on a cool evening.   Eedy is on some medications that she will likely require for life - thyroid medicine and apoquel. It is possible that with further study to determine what she is allergic to, and maybe dietary changes, the apoquel might be able to be discontinued.  Interested in adopting Eedy and showing her that the best is yet to come in her Golden Years? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2559511##

Story
Meet August! Back in early May, we made a visit to a metro area shelter after they had sent out an urgent plea for help. As we were walking through the back rooms of the shelter, where the public doesn’t go, August caught our attention. Not because he was acting crazy trying to get attention, but because he didn’t even lift his head to look at us as we approached his kennel. Not sure if he was scared or shy or what was going on, we opened up his kennel and found that he was actually very sick. As we held him, we could feel him wheezing - he had the dreaded upper respiratory infection so so common in that shelter. There was no way we were leaving him there! August (aka Auggie) has come so so far in the  months he has been with us! From being so sick he couldn’t even lift his head in his kennel at the shelter to super scared of strangers to a sweet happy boy….we are so so proud of his progress! Just goes to show you what a huge difference a little TLC can make and why fostering is such an important part of animal rescue! Auggie is about 7 1/2 years old and great with other dogs and cats. He’s a chill guy who lives for car rides! Even though Auggie has been enjoying the company of his four legged foster brothers, he would also be just fine being an only fur child. All he wants out of life is his very own person with a fairly quiet lifestyle who will take him on plenty of car rides! Interested in adopting Auggie? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: August is not available for adoption to households with children - 18 and up only ##2446898##
