Story
Meet Kieran! Kieran is a 5-year-old, 22-pound Bichon Frise. Kieran is a rescue from a puppy mill, and as such, is fairly skittish around people. She is fostered with other dogs her size and does well with them! Kieran is still trying to figure out what a dog is supposed to do, as leash walking, treats, and playing are all new to her. She will need a calm, patient household to help her blossom. An adopter with another confident dog would be helpful. Are you the white knight wanting to rescue this damsel in distress? Kieran is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $300. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Romy, a 5 year-old Bichon Frise with a heart full of potential and a past that's slowly becoming a memory. Once a puppy mill mom, Romy is now learning what it means to be in a safe place full of patience and love. She's nervous around new people and situations as she navigates how to "dog." Everything in the dog world is new to her - treats, leashes, toys, the outdoors, but she is discovering the cozy comforts of the couch and the excitement of being in the sunshine. She enjoys her furry foster friends and follows her foster mom from room to room. Romy does need a fenced-in yard and another social dog in the home to help her build confidence. She's looking for a patient person or family who will guide her through this new chapter with kindness and understanding. If you have a gentle heart and are ready to give a puppy mill momma a fresh start, Romy is the girl for you. Romy is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Story
Meet Lucy Lou! Lucy Lou is a 6-yr-old, 12lb. female Bichon Frise who is full of curiosity and hopefulness as she awaits her new forever home. She is overcoming her bad haircut and her past as a puppy mill mama and loves to be with people who will cuddle her and love on her. She likes to nestle her head in the crook of your neck and will stay there all day if you let her! She likes being in the grass and would do well in a fenced yard. We are still working on potty training but it’s coming along nicely. She pees and poos in the backyard when let out but still has the occasional accident in the house. She is very comfortable with her furry foster sisters but does not yet really play with them as she is still figuring out what it means to be a dog. She is good with men but has not been around cats yet. She is crate trained but enjoys the freedom of an open door to come and go as she pleases so she can follow her foster mom around the house. She is nervous around new things and needs a home where there is a lot of patience, love and a quieter environment. Some of her favorite things are curling up on her comfy pillow next to her foster mom on the couch, apple treats, eggs, and having her blanket nearby. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will enrich your life, she might be your perfect match! Lucy Lou is currently being fostered in the northern Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Skye – Your New Cuddle Companion Skye is a 6-year-old Bichon Frise with a heart as soft as her soon-to-be fluffy coat! Recently given a fresh shave, this little lady is on a glow-up journey, growing her gorgeous fur back day by day. She’s the ultimate cozy companion—Skye adores cuddling on the couch, binge-watching your favorite shows, flipping pages of a good book, or even keeping you company while you knit. (She’s more of a moral support knitter, but she’s excellent at it!) Skye thrives in calm, quiet spaces and would do best in a serene home without young kids. She's looking for someone who loves peaceful moments and is ready to welcome a loyal, low-key best friend into their life. If you're searching for a sweet, soulful pup who’s all about gentle vibes and endless snuggles, Skye might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic . ##2360023##
