Bear, once known as Little Bear, is ready and waiting to meet his forever family. He and 3 siblings were rescued last December from the reservation up north where they were alone, hungry and cold. He was very thankful to be ina warm home with a full belly and learn to be loved! His siblings were adopted but he needed a little more TLC as he was so small. He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves to go out in public!! He will be one in December and would a forever family for his birthday!! The day we saw Minnie’s intake picture at our county shelter, our jaws dropped. The neglect of her body was not something that happened over a month or two; it was several months to a year. We immediately pulled her and put her in a foster home. We quickly learned right away that Minnie loves food! She was receiving small home cooked meals and would gobble them up. After extensive blood work and several different tests were run, we learned that Minnie was actually unable to absorb nutrients from her food and they was passing straight through her. This is a chronic, lifelong pancreatic deficiency but is easily solved with enzymes added to her food at each meal. On her new supplements, Minnie is THRIVING. She has gained 10 pounds of healthy weight with this life saving medication! Minnie craves love. She enjoys being around people either cuddling on the couch, chasing toys or going on walks. During the day, Minnie would be a great co-worker. She is respectful of her space and home, but she is not afraid to speak up when she needs you. She prefers to be around dogs that don’t need to constantly be playing and move slower, and she is good with cats. We would love to see her in a forever home where she can continue to get the emotional and medical support that she needs and deserves. MEET  TANNER!!! Tanner was rescued from the Maricopa County shelter and is currently in foster. He is a very timid guy but very friendly and affectionate. He likes to play fetch and go for walks, but he is not particularly high energy. He walks well on a leash without pulling. He uses a dog door when he need to potty.  Tanner gets along well with his foster siblings both large and small dogs. Frito is a sweet, loving, high energy dog. He was adopted from the Maricopa County Animal Shelter in November 2023, he was in foster care. Frito is approximately 2 years old. He is very smart, friendly, loves to play and rough house. He likes dog parks and being with other dogs. He is good with small dogs but he is better with dogs his size to play with. He is strong, and tends to pull a little when walking. He can be focused and chase things like small animals, i.e. squirrels and cats. He likes his dog door and spends quite a bit of time in the backyard. Frito needs an owner that is active and outdoorsy; one with who has time and patience to take Frito on runs and/or walks. Someone to play with him and love him. He would be good if he has a buddy to play with. He loves playing ball, tugging the rope, and running. He sometimes steals food from the counters, he can be hard to distract if he spots something he wants to chase, and does get anxious in car rides.
