Nemo is a sweet and mischievous 4 month old, 6 pound pup full of energy and love to give. Friendly with dogs and cats, and sweet with adults and children, although he is a bit shy at first, he usually adapts to his environment quite quickly. He is curious and likes to meet new dogs, he has no problem with them being small or large despite his small size. He loves receiving pampering, lots of love, hugs and kisses, playing with balls even if they are bigger than him, and sleeping in a big, warm bed. Potty trained (Sometimes he still has accidents). He will be small. The $400.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transportation to San Diego, Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Story
Meet Sahara! She got her start with us when a call came in for an elusive dog wearing a tight collar.  After connecting with neighbors we found out she "lived" nearby tied to a line, often escaped and the owner never cares.  We always take reports with a grain of salt but once caught we had to believe what they said.  Her collar was broken and tied back together too tight.   Said owners never came to claim her from the shelter.  She was scared, confused and needed a place to start over. We get many many many questions of “What breed is she?” After much back and forth, we went with Black Mouth Cur, Boxer and Sharpei :) What we do know for sure, is this girl is as sweet as they come. She has blossomed from fear of everything to a willingness to try anything as long as she is with someone she trusts.  She loves her people deeply and bonds quickly to anyone at the end of the leash. She can be protective (toward animals) of her people, things and space when food or treats are involved . She does amazing with people, kids and currently lives with a Clowder of Cats!  She has come a long way.  It's time for the final stage of her journey to land in her forever home.   Flight risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, can never be off-leash in an unfenced in area, crate training is a must when gone, and tight grip of the leash on adventures is a must. ##1716906##

Story
My name is Jewels and I am a true GEM of a dog. I am a Black Mouth Cur Mix. The shelter handlers say I am a sweet guarded girl who just needs confidence with strangers. I attach to people very quickly once I get to know them and I have a calm demeanor. I speak when I have something to say. I know how to sit and stay, and love being with my person. I would make an EXCELLENT ranch dog as I’m very outdoorsy. PLUS, I’m dog friendly too! The shelter says that I can only be released to a Rescue Group due to behavior with strangers . They just never gave me the training to understand that strangers can be friends too. I sometimes growl and my back hackles go up when I am approached by a stranger because, well, I am afraid of what they might do to me. I was very well taken care of so I'm very sad that my owner didn’t come to find me. I sure hope they are OK. I’m potty trained with no medical history and weigh about 50 pounds. To learn more about me, or any of our other amazing, foster / adoptable dogs, please visit our website at www.passionforpitties.com.
