Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in as a stray. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for their new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Say hello to Daisy! She's a high-energy gal looking for the right home to settle down in! She brings lot of excitement everywhere she goes, and you will always be sure to have fun when she is with you. Daisy will need some continued support when it comes to training, as she will need to learn how to contain all of her excitement and perfect those doggy manners. Daisy would do best in a home with no young kids, and with dogs who have a similar rough-and-tumble play style. She will enjoy having plenty of exercise and play, especially with her favorite people. If she looks like a match for you, come ask about her at our San Diego campus today. Remember to bring a cute leash and collar for her! Story
Zoe Queen was found living in a trash dump in Tijuana by one of our fosters. The foster tried several times to collect her and her puppies but was unsuccessful. She was finally safely captured and taken to one of our partner veterinarians. She had a complete checkup and it was found she was pregnant again! Her previous litter did not make it due to extreme conditions and lack of food. It was recommended that the pregnancy be terminated for her health, which is a sad fact of street dog life. Now Zoe Queen is ready for her forever home with a loving, caring family who will treasure her like a "Queen" for the rest of her life!! She is sweet and friendly and gets along with other dogs. ##1917446##

Story
My name is Jewels and I am a true GEM of a dog. I am a Black Mouth Cur Mix. The shelter handlers say I am a sweet guarded girl who just needs confidence with strangers. I attach to people very quickly once I get to know them and I have a calm demeanor. I speak when I have something to say. I know how to sit and stay, and love being with my person. I would make an EXCELLENT ranch dog as I’m very outdoorsy. PLUS, I’m dog friendly too! The shelter says that I can only be released to a Rescue Group due to behavior with strangers . They just never gave me the training to understand that strangers can be friends too. I sometimes growl and my back hackles go up when I am approached by a stranger because, well, I am afraid of what they might do to me. I was very well taken care of so I'm very sad that my owner didn’t come to find me. I sure hope they are OK. I’m potty trained with no medical history and weigh about 50 pounds. To learn more about me, or any of our other amazing, foster / adoptable dogs, please visit our website at www.passionforpitties.com. If I’m not yet listed on the website, you can still fill out an application under the “Foster” or “Adopt” headers. If you are a Rescue Group, you can also contact the shelter below to inquire about pulling directly from them.
