Story

We adopted Daisy from the SD Humane Society. Daisy was in the shelter for nearly two years prior to us adopting her. Daisy is AMAZING outside of the house with other dogs; she plays well with dogs and is not leash reactive but unfortunately our other dog is not getting along with Daisy. We believe Daisy would do best as the only dog in the household. She may do well with another large dog in the home depending on the circumstances and personality of the other dog. She is 3.5 years old and is VERY eager to please, which has made training a breeze. We adopted Daisy knowing she had some behavioral issues (like poor impulse control, mouthing when overly excited, and in general high arousal levels). We have seen great progress with Daisy, however, since bringing her home from the shelter. I am confident that an experienced owner who is willing to continue training Daisy will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion.
