weight 25 lbs age: 4 months as of 4/25/24 adoption donation $599     Mia is a sweet, friendly and mellow black mouth cur puppy who will make a wonderful family dog.  She is part of a litter of 8 who were left in a cardboard box in the driveway of the Wags founder outside of Tupelo, Mississippi. The pups certainly hit the jackpot, they spend their days romping and playing with their siblings and then snuggling into a big puppy pile to nap. Mia has had her puppy shots, is microchipped and was recently spayed. She is ready for a loving home of her own. Mia loves to play with the other dogs at the rescue, she's fine with cats. She rides well in the car and loves everyone she meets. Black mouth curs are known to be wonderful family dogs, they are mellow and medium size, friendly and loving. Like any puppy Mia needs someone who will be around for her and give her the structure and training she needs to grow up to be the very good girl we know she can be. Story
Waylon is approximately 5 months old and 40 pounds. He is good with other dogs with proper introductions but can be  a little bit stingy with toys. He likes to run and will counter surfs a little bit and he's not a 100% house broken but we're working on that too. Currently living with 3 other dogs and 4 cats. He wants to play with the cats but being so big it's not feasible. He takes correction and redirects well.. He already knows how to sit and wait for his food and his treats although he can get a little antsy. Waylon likes to sleep in the bed and will follow you from room to room. He's very attached to his person. He is currently teething so he has to be watched.  He is fully vetted including  neuter, microchip, all puppy vaccinations, as well as rabies vaccination. H e would make a great addition to your family.   His adoption fee is $550 and includes his transportation to his new home in CT.  HE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HIS NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.     You can apply to adopt here:   http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application22.html   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
PIPER IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!    This adorable girl is Piper. She is a stunning 2-year-old, 38lb Black Mouth Cur mix. She was pulled from a shelter back in August, and she was in pitiful shape: underweight and scared! That is NO MORE. Her foster mom has gotten her fattened up and healthy. She has helped build her confidence. Piper is now a well-rounded, wonderful dog.   She is a very energetic dog. She loves running and playing in the yard with her toys and fur siblings. She is house trained and is very good in the house. She is doing good on leash; she pulls a little, but we are working on that! She gets along good with other dogs. Her foster home also has two cats, and she has not bothered them beyond curiosity. She is playful and loves tug of war! She listens and learns easily. She would enjoy outdoor activities with her furever family. This girl gets compliments on her looks and mannerisms everywhere we go! Piper is going to make someone a great dog, no doubt.   She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, all shots including her rabies shot. Her adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Piper up north after she is adopted.  To apply to adopt Piper, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2024, 10:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ALMA-Boy was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. He along with his7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 Alma-Boy is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 21 November 2022 and at the time of transport weighed around 35 pounds. Mixed breed dogs in Oman are referred to as Omani Wadi Dogs, with most of them being Saluki mixes. Alma is such a gentle and sweet boy, he is a little wary at first, but having been through all he has leaving his rescue in Oman and traveling to the US is a huge change. After just a few days, he has settled in great, he gets excited when I go over to the kennels, will now take treats, very gently, shares a kennel with two other dogs and does great. One of his kennel mates, CHIP a young cattle dog is really helping to bring him out of his shell, teaching him to play and having him curious in the toys and chews. He sleeps snuggled up with, I feel he gets a lot of comfort with Chips typical cattle dog confidence. ALMA is thin, although being the kind of breed, a sighthound mix, he will not need to gain much more weight, but a few extra pounds would have him at a healthy weight. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Alma-Boy is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $400. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats.
