Story
ARRIVING IN THE NORTHEAST ON SATURDAY MARCH 15! adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/24           Sweet Schatzi and her three sisters, Eva, Gretel and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence.      The puppies have been having a grand time playing together and snuggling in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. All of the girls are around 35 pounds, they were born in late October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Schatzi or any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    March 12, 2025, 8:06 am

Story
adoption donation : $499 weight 50 lbs Age  3 years        Layne is a beautiful 3-year-old, 50 lb golden pup who came to us pretty timid and scared of the world but has since gained a lot of confidence. She wants to be loved and give love in return. Layne lives with other dogs, kids and a baby. She is a sweetheart and a quiet girl—she is the only dog in the house who does not bark at the mailman!    Layne loves to run in the yard and watch the birds fly by so a fenced yard is preferred. She adores loves playing fetch and treat time. She loves romping around the yard with her four-legged foster brothers and would love a canine companion! Layne does well with senior dogs as well.      Layne also has a foster brother, Puddles, who is her very best buddy so if an adopter  was potentially looking for two dogs they would be a perfect pair!       Layne is the quintessential family dog, she is gentle and loving and will make a wonderful member of the family.     For more information on adopting Layne please email   ramellakwolek@gmail.com    June 22, 2025, 7:29 am

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Oscar Breed: Blackmouth Cur Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Male/estimate 2 years old/around 50 lbs and I am full grown Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives House trained/Crate Trained: In progress Dogs/Cats/Children: Oscar has not been tested with cats or children yet, but can be tested upon request. Oscar has had very controlled interactions with other dogs and seems to enjoy other high energy breeds Energy Level: High- I am a very athletic dog who loves to run and play Before FAR/My History: I wandered up to somebody’s house on 3/11/2024. I had been spotted the week before getting into the neighbors’ trash at night because I was a hungry pup. I couldn’t stay there because of their older dog who is very sick, but they put me in this program and I get to stay and play with 3 other foster dogs. Training Status/Commands I know: Sit and touch the open hand to get a treat/food instead of leaping for the food Working on: Everything Things I like: Playtime, especially with another dog who is as energetic as I am. My running buddy is another FAR foster Sheila aka Havoc. I like to chase her when she has a toy, and I also like to be chased when I have a toy. Things I don’t like: I don’t like to be left out, especially if another dog runs by and I see them playing. Things that make my humans happy: My endless energy. I am always down to play, run, fetch, etc. And when it is time to rest, I like to snuggle and get chest scratches. Ideal Family/Home: Because of my energy and drive, I think I would like a home without cats or small dogs. I love playing with Sheila aka Havoc because she is my size and matches my energy, so I think a mid-size, young female dog would be a perfect playmate for me.
