Story
Copper came from a high kill shelter in Mississippi. He was adopted by our grandson and his girlfriend, who were living together at the time. Our grandson has since moved back in with us and brought Copper with him. Our grandson who is 19 has no interest in caring for Copper, neither does his ex girlfriend. My wife and I are in our late 70s , we already have a large dog, and can no longer handle another dog. Copper is a very sweet, completely housebroken, cuddly dog. He is a joy to take on walks. As much as we hate to lose him, we just cannot handle another dog. Needs a loving home , he is strictly an indoor dog. Copper will be one year old on June 24, 2026.

Story
Meet Sage — Your 2026 Adventure BuddySage is a 1‑year‑old Black Mouth Curr mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy, but life changed for her family and—through no fault of her own—she found her way back to us. Now she’s hoping her second chance is the one that sticks. This girl is every bit as fun and goofy as her photos suggest, but don’t let the silliness fool you—Sage is smart. Really smart. If you’re looking for a running partner, a future sports dog, or a companion who thrives on activity and learning, Sage might just be your perfect match. She came to us from Louisiana as a stray puppy alongside her siblings, and she’s grown into a bright, eager, energetic young dog who’s ready to take on the world. What she needs now is someone stable, patient, and excited to help her channel all that enthusiasm into something amazing.Sage has recently recovered from a medical emergency and life-saving surgery involving her intestines. She suffered from Intussusception, a serious condition where part of the intestine slides into an adjacent section, like a telescope, causing obstruction, swelling, and reduced blood flow. She is well on the mend, back to eating her normal diet from a slow feeder and normal play and activity! This could be a recurring issue in the future and would require immediate veterinary care. Will 2026 be the Year of Sage? She sure hopes so.Sage's adoption fee is $125, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
Hey everyone, meet JoJo! Do you love snacks? Then look no further, because this girl right here, was meant for you. Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, midnight snacks are always welcome. This sweet girl has been in a loving home but due to a loss in the family and change in living circumstances, Miss JoJo finds herself looking for another one. She has not been around cats of small children, but has a naturally sweet disposition and gentle temperament. As a predominantly inside dog, JoJo is house trained but is used to spending time outside in a fenced yard. She has a playful personality and has played well with the other small dog that has lived with her. Please consider giving Miss JoJo a forever home to live out the best years of her life. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Thank you for your interest in a Save a Stray pet.

Story
Bio: Name Bella. Breed Looks like Belgian Malinois/Shepherd/Husky mix. Age 2-3 according to the vet. She has very white teeth! Weight 66 pounds. Temperament? Very sweet and likes to be near her person. She can bark loudly when she has to go potty ("I gotta go, Mom!!") or when a stranger approaches her improperly when she's on the leash. She prefers to approach people instead of them approaching her. What is the ideal home for this pup? A home with a fenced yard and no cats. She loves walkies. Where did you get this dog? Bella followed me and my dogs home on our walk. Favorite toy? Her stuffed Highland cow and tiny T-rex. Favorite rub spot? Behind ears and on her back. Anything cute we can add to their bio? Bella is super smart. She learned how to sit, high five and catch treats in the air immediately. She also loves to joke around but she never jokes about mealtime. Good with dogs/cats/kids? Bella is good with other dogs but needs to be leashed around cats. She hasn't interacted with kids yet and would need to be introduced properly.

We are a TX based rescue in TX. If you do not reside in TX, that is ok! We transport our dogs to the NE, MW and PNW multiple times a month. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi. Yes. It’s me. The ears. 👂👂 I know… try to stay calm. I’m a 12-week-old Boxer x Black Mouth Cur mix, currently weighing a very intimidating 10 lbs (I am basically a bodybuilder, just compact). I was found near the Texas/Mexico border with my littermates—so you could say I’m a little desert-born, sun-kissed, and full of grit… but mostly just full of snuggles. Let’s get into my qualifications: • Professional Human Follower – if you move, I move. It’s called teamwork. • Certified Sweetheart – I come pre-loaded with cuddles and eye contact that will emotionally manipulate you (in a loving way). • Dog-Friendly Socialite – I like other dogs and bring good vibes to the pack. • Potty Training Intern – I’m doing really well and accept praise as payment. • Nighttime Angel – I sleep in my x-pen like a tiny, perfect baby. You’re welcome. Now… about the ears. I don’t want to brag, but they are… exceptional. Some say satellite dishes. Some say runway model. I say: built-in WiFi for detecting snacks. I’m still a puppy, so I’ll need someone to teach me the important things in life—like where the treats are stored and why I’m not allowed to eat your shoes (seems suspicious, but okay). If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you, follow you, and occasionally trip you because I’m that close… I’m ready to move in. Apply now. I’m cute, I know it, and I won’t stay available long. 🐾

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi, I’m Gilda—the sweet one, the soft one, the “how are you this cute?” one. I’m also a 12-week-old Boxer x Black Mouth Cur mix, about 10 lbs, and I came from the Texas/Mexico border with my siblings. I’ve traded my outdoor beginnings for cozy blankets and loving humans, and I have to say… I’m a fan. My specialties include: • Professional Snuggler – I melt right into you • Gentle Playmate – I love toys and fun, but I keep it sweet • Human-Centered Heart – I bond quickly and love deeply • Dog-Friendly Girl – I get along great with other pups • Quietly Adorable – I don’t need to be loud to steal the spotlight I’m learning house training and doing really well, and I’m still in that perfect puppy stage where I’m curious, loving, and ready to grow into the best companion ever. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a soft heart and playful spirit… I’m waiting for you 💕
