Story
Waylon's story began when he and his littermate (Willie) were found abandoned on the side of the road by a local rescuer. They were scared and unsure of people at first but with patience and love and a safe foster home have learned that the world isn't such a scary place after all. They are young and continue to gain confidence every day. Since entering foster care they have started to learn crate training. They are socialized with other dogs, cats, and small children. They have made tremendous progress in trusting people and adapting to home life. They are up to date on vaccines and are scheduled to be neutered on June 19th. They will be ready to begin their happy ever after after that date! These two boys are not bonded and do not have to be adopted together. We just wanted to tell their backstory of how they were rescued so you will know a little about their history. They each deserve a patient family willing to continue helping them build confidence and discover just how wonderful the world and life is! Waylon currently is being fostered in Mississippi but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road! Please message us if you are interested in adopting this little guy and we will send you an adoption application!

Story
Hi, Im Stella.Remember me? I was up for adoption 6 months ago. I was in my 4th home. Before that, I was used as a breeder. The other times, I was given up because I was too puppyish, annother time cause I was to small. Its uncertain why some of the others gave me up. My last home said they didnt have time for me.Im about 4 years old now. I seem to be a black mouth cure mix. I am spayed and up to date on all my shots. With all this moving around and uncertainty, I just dont know who my family is or who I can trust, so I feel like I have to protect myself. Im a reactive dog. I do get along with the dog I live with and got along with previous dogs Ive lived with. Sadly, only a few days after the last time I was adopted, there was an incident. I was at my new grandmoms house when someone let her dogs in. They scared me, and I protected myself. This was not my fault. My new mom has made the hard decision to try to find me a home with someone who has experience with reactive dogs and who can give me the time and patience I need.Im absolutely a Velcro dog. I love to play and Im super energetic. Im very sweet and loving, and Ill give you kisses all day and sit in your lap.Being so unsure of things makes me reactive. I need everything done slowlyslow introductions to people, other animals, and even new places. I need to be introduced slowly to animals and people outside of my home.My adopted mom has agreed to foster me until the right and final home can be found. She uses treats to help me through new situations because I am highly motivated by treats.Im only partially potty trained. I go both outside and inside, and I will occasionally use potty training pads. Im so confused sometimes that Im not always sure how things work where I am.My new home should have people who are savvy with bully breeds and reactive, sensitive dogs. It might be necessary to meet me a few times before taking me home.My rescuers say I deserve stability, a routine, and not to be moved around anymore. No kids. No cats.Only calm, nanny-type dogs with proper introductions, or I would like to be your only baby.I just want a family who will understand me, be patient with me, and finally give me the forever home Ive been searching for. Story
adoption donation : $499 weight 50 lbs Age  3 years        Layne is a beautiful 3-year-old, 50 lb golden pup who came to us pretty timid and scared of the world but has since gained a lot of confidence. She wants to be loved and give love in return. Layne lives with other dogs, kids and a baby. She is a sweetheart and a quiet girl—she is the only dog in the house who does not bark at the mailman!    Layne loves to run in the yard and watch the birds fly by so a fenced yard is preferred. She adores loves playing fetch and treat time. She loves romping around the yard with her four-legged foster brothers and would love a canine companion! Layne does well with senior dogs as well.      Layne also has a foster brother, Puddles, who is her very best buddy so if an adopter  was potentially looking for two dogs they would be a perfect pair!       Layne is the quintessential family dog, she is gentle and loving and will make a wonderful member of the family.     For more information on adopting Layne please email   ramellakwolek@gmail.com    June 22, 2025, 7:29 am

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 40 lbs Age 8 months dob. 1/10/25      Jade is an adorable mixed breed pup who seems to be some kind of black mouth cur mix. . She is a gentle and sweet and loving girl who is just a delight.  Jade and her sisters Josie and Journey  were part of a group of puppies that were sadly being given away for free at a local Walmart in Mississippi. The woman who runs the rescue Wags of Monroe County couldn’t bear to see these puppies going to people with no vetting and so she scooped up the remaining three girls.     Since then, the puppies have thrived, they love to run and play with all the dogs at the rescue and then cuddle up together in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and have their vaccinations and are all healthy happy girls.    Jaden and her sisters are still in Mississippi, but ready to come up to the northeast in mid October on the transport truck that leaves every Friday from Tupelo. We know these girls will all make wonderful family dogs, but are fine to consider a foster to adopt. Jade is such a gentle, calm girl, we know she will be a loving member of the family.   Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
