Story
Meka is a 5–6-year-old rescue adopted from ACCT Philadelphia. While we don’t know much about her past, she has become a loving, loyal, and affectionate companion to the people she knows and trusts. Once comfortable, Meka loves being with her family, getting attention, relaxing at home, and spending time outside. She doesn’t require a high level of daily exercise and is happy with a quiet, comfortable routine. Like many rescue dogs, Meka can be fearful of unfamiliar people and needs time and patience to build trust. She does best in a calm, predictable home with an experienced adopter who understands rescue dogs and respects her boundaries. She is not a good fit for young children or a home with frequent unfamiliar visitors. Meka has had fear-based reactions in the past, so understanding and managing her triggers is important. Her skin allergies are well-managed with routine veterinary care. For the right experienced home, Meka has an incredible amount of love and loyalty to give. ❤️

Story
Meka was found on the streets of Philadelphia and taken in by the SPCA. My husband found her online and rescued her 5 years ago. We have loved having Meka as apart of our family. However, with our family soon growing, we are looking to find her a new home so we can focus solely on raising our child. We would love to find meka a new home where she can run around and enjoy the outdoors. Meka is VERY trained. She walks without a leash. If you say heel, she will walk right by your side until you say break. If you say “bed” she will go right to her bed and stay there until you break her off. She is trained to not go on couches or beds. She sleeps in her crate every night! She does have bad allergies so she takes an allergy pill every morning and twice a week She she would need to be given an allergy vaccine to help her keep her allergies under control and stop her from itching.

Story
Vaquero is a 5-year-old black mouth curr mix that weighs 46 lbs. He was found in October 2025, in some fields in a small town called Edinburg that is located along the Texas/Mexico border. When we got him, he had severe mange and was just in horrible shape. He had almost no hair, was so scared and was skin and bones. How someone could let a dog get like the shape Vaquero was in, is beyond us! He was SOO scared and looked like he was on deaths door. And now? Vaquero is a whole new dog. He has done a complete 180! This once shy boy that was very scared of humans is now always happy to see people and interact with anyone he comes across. He loves getting his pets and getting loved on. There are no long-term effects to what this boy went through, so don’t worry! He loves other dogs and is currently being fostered in a sanctuary along the Texas/Mexico border. This sanctuary is only a temporary place to house animals while we find them their forever homes. So small or big dogs, he gets along wonderfully with! Vaquero would do great in a home with older, gentle children as this boy, while he loves to play, he more love to relax and just hang out. He is very much a Netflix and chill type of dog. TV? Yes, please. Treats? Give him more. Nap? Say no more, he is already signed up and, in the bed, waiting. Vaquero has met kitties and does fine with them! He LOVES car rides and staring out the window as you’re driving. He is house trained. Please consider giving this boy the chance he has never had; a FOREVER home! This doggy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on dewormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: (Certain areas vary depending on adopters in the area) Albany and Latham, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT Port Chester, NY Dayton and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh/Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Shea is a 4 year old Black mouth Cur. We Recently moved from a large home with a huge fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood to the city. Unfortunately she is not doing well here, which can be expected. She loves to run and play and she will never get that opportunity here. We’re not sure how long we’ll be living here and don’t want to put her through the stress of having to deal with the city. Shea is a very loving and affectionate, loyal dog. She was a rescue and grew up with our corgi mix. They are like sisters and this is a very difficult decision and unfortunately it’s just not fair to her. We are looking for someone that can give her the time, love, and space that she deserves and needs. She gets extremely overwhelmed with loud and unexpected noises, especially when she’s in a new environment. Shea is housebroken but has had some recent issues with our current situation and the stress is affecting her. Please contact me to discuss further.

Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, midnight snacks are always welcome. This sweet girl has been in a loving home but due to a loss in the family and change in living circumstances, Miss JoJo finds herself looking for another one. She has not been around cats or small children, but has a naturally sweet disposition and gentle temperament. As a predominantly inside dog, JoJo is house trained but is used to spending time outside in a fenced yard. She has a playful personality and has played well with the other small dog that has lived with her. Please consider giving Miss JoJo a forever home to live out the best years of her life. Elena is a dream girl!! She is likely a black mouth cur mix with sugar and spice and everything NICE :) She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to sit, wait to eat her food until she is told to &"go ahead "She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home. Would you be willing to give this sweet girl a chance?
