Story
Hi there! My name is Alicia and I'm a 2-year girl that weighs about 40 pounds. I have the same name as my foster mom, so they call me Aurora. I am, without a doubt, the sweetest pup in the world - everyone tells me so! I love to meet new friends and give them hugs, kisses, and snuggles. I’ve met many dogs (15-100 pounds) and have done fantastic with them all. I love to wrestle and play tug-of-war with my furry friends and I’d absolutely love to have a fur sibling in my future home. Confident, dog-savvy cats would be okay too, although I might chase them a little at first. What else is there to know about me? Oh yeah, I’m completely potty, leash, kennel, and house trained! More than almost anything in the world, I love stuffed animals!! I could play with them all day. Sunbathing outside and chasing tennis balls are my favorite activities. Something important to know about me is that I have bilateral hip dysplasia. Some dogs need FHO surgery, whereas others can manage the pain with just medication. Since I’m still young, it’s unclear if I will need surgery in the future but it’s definitely possible. For me to stay healthy, my future family must commit to the following: 1) keeping me lean and active with low-impact exercise such as walks; 2) continuing to feed me a prescription mobility diet such as Hill's j/d; and 3) giving me a joint supplement like Dasuqin. If I'm too active, I will limp or walk slowly; my foster mom manages my pain with an anti-inflammatory. Because of this, I'd do best with a canine friend that takes breaks and doesn't play to rough - that way I don't overexert myself. I know this might sound like a lot of work, but I promise I'm worth it! I'm a super affectionate and loving dog that is so grateful for a second chance in life.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $275.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2025, 12:09 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $450 plus taxBruce is a sweet, fun puppy. He has been in a foster home in Minneapolis for a few weeks. His current home is an apartment with one adult and one cat. Bruce has been learning potty training (outside and pads), walking on a leash, playing, and using his crate. He is playful in little bursts of energy, then winds down for a quick nap (often in his crate or on the sofa). He seems to get nervous on walks when other dogs are around. He’d really benefit from having a dog friend to help him play and socialize on doggy terms.  He barks at noises in the hallway, especially if it sounds like another dog (super normal and something we’re working on). He is not overly anxious but does display anxiety when I leave. He chases the cat but has caused no harm. He just wants to play. Super good boy and very loving. He usually sleeps in the bed with me and is a good snuggler.  He just takes a lot of energy and patience to help him go outside for potty breaks as needed, which is often, to not eat cat food and litter, to walk nicely on the leash (we’ve made lots of progress!) and to take naps as needed. He has visited a friend’s fenced yard a few times for running and playing and loved it! He loves the snow too.    He is going to grow into a big, strong, beautiful, loyal dog.    If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Gorgeous Girl Gator (1y 9mo., 47lb) has spent over a year in shelter and foster care down in Alabama, and she is so ready to finally experience the love of her very own forever family! Don’t let her name fool you—she may have outgrown her puppy teefs, but she’s still 100% sweetness, charm, and joy. Gator is an outgoing, friendly social butterfly who lights up when she meets new people. She adores making friends—human and canine alike—and her tail seems to have only two modes: wagging fast and wagging faster. She’s the kind of pup who greets life with enthusiasm and warmth, making everyone around her smile. She loves running around the yard, exploring all the good sniffs, and settling in for long naps on her fluffy dog bed. Gator is doing great with her potty, leash, and crate training, and she’s eager to keep learning. While she enjoys other dogs, Gator especially appreciates hanging out with similar to lower-energy who match her vibe. She’d be happy living with or without another canine companion. She’s also been good with the kids and cats she’s met—though as an enthusiastic youngster, she may accidentally knock over very small kiddos during playtime. Being a clever young working-breed mix, Gator is highly trainable and would shine with continued obedience work or even agility. She’s already a snuffle-puzzle champion in the making! Gator’s ideal home includes (but isn’t limited to): • Humans who love walks, outdoor adventures, or fun activities and want a cheerful copilot • A friend to pal around with (optional but appreciated!) • Someone patient and excited to train and learn with her • A big, cozy dog bed—this one is non-negotiable according to Gator • Plenty of toys, enrichment, and sniffer games • Space to run, play, and explore If you’re looking for a friendly, outgoing, affectionate girl who will brighten every day, Gator is ready to bring her huge heart and happy spirit home to you   If you would like to learn more about Gator, please submit an interest form on our website:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN *Adoption fee for Gator is $625 + MN state tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, DHPP vaccine series, Lepto. vaccine series, rabies vaccine, heartworm test (negative),  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2025, 7:47 pm
