Story

Isabella, or Izzy, is about 4-5 years old. My daughter found her on the streets of San Antonio as a 9 or 10 month old puppy. Izzy is normally calm and sweet, but she does not get along with our daughter’s other dog. The two have gotten into several fights and my daughter can no longer keep her. There have been no incidences of aggression at the dog park, just at home. Izzy is also nervous around children and once bit a little boy who startled her. The best home for Izzy is one with no small children or other pets She has been evaluated by a veterinarian who found her to be well behaved. He agreed that in an stress-free home, Izzy would make a wonderful pet. Izzy also does not lick and seldom barks! She is good on a leash and in the car. You’re going to love her!

Story

Pluto is a 6-year-old male who's very playful. He loves playing chase and tug. He would do well in an active family that likes playing and long walks. He is leash trained, crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit and stay. He can be left home alone outside of his crate no problem. He spends most of the day sleeping/lounging nearby, occasionally interrupting his chill to bark at squirrels. He is afraid of loud noises (thunder/fireworks) and tends to bark at them. He has guard dog instincts (e.g., barks at the doorbell and mail van). He plays well with other dogs (e.g., he loves spending time with my in-laws' beagle) but is our only pet. He has never ingested non-food items so no vet visits needed! He's very gentle with kids but is sixty pounds and excitable (so might inadvertently bump into a toddler). He loves avocado. Due to a temporary move we're looking for a loving long-term foster home (~2 years) with the option to adopt if it’s the right fit for everyone.

Jett does well with other dogs, although a little cautious when he first meets new ones. He prefers spending time around older children, and does best with slow introductions. Jett is fully house trained, and knows basic obedience skills. While he does prefer slow introductions to new people, once he gets to know someone well, he falls in love. He walks well on leash and also does well in his crate. Some of his favorite activities are playing in the yard and going on walks, but he also loves chilling out around the house and taking naps.
