Story
Saw A stray litter of about 7 dogs following people downtown; 3 came my direction. Found a home for one 2 others need a home. Sylvie is sweet and affectionate. Very intelligent. Does struggle with being alone for too long. We have two cats and she's very good around them. Also have 3-4 year old and she is great with him, very patient. Does well on leash and is calm around other dogs. Also crate trained.

Story
How do these pups rank? We have a feeling they will exceed all expectations! Captain and Major are two playful Black Mouth Cur mixes ready to march their way into your heart. The Black Mouth Cur is a medium to large-sized working breed that was first bred to help farmers and hunters. They are active, loving, and intelligent, so you’ll have loads of fun teaching your new best friend new tricks. Already, these two are potty trained and crate trained, and they know basic commands such as “sit” and “no.” It seems that they are off to a great start at just six months old! It’s important to know that these young dogs also have a sensitive side and respond best to positive reinforcement. They are big cuddlers and bond quickly, despite a little initial shyness. Once they are in a family environment, we do not doubt that either one will be a loyal guardian to you, your other pets and/or your children. Captain and Major also enjoy their daily walks, so you’ll want to provide adequate time for exercise in their new homes! We know that one (or both) of these soldiers will stand by your side through thick and thin! So, are you ready to enlist a new buddy into your family unit? Apply today!

Story
Hey there, I`m Apollo and I must say, I`m quite the sweet boy! Although, I have to admit, I can get a bit jumpy at times. It`s not because I`m scared, it`s just because my eyesight isn`t the greatest. So, when something pops up unexpectedly, I get startled and let out a little `whoa!` But don`t worry, all I need is some happy talk to get me back on track. And let me tell you, once I hear a familiar, upbeat voice, my wiggles can`t be contained!I`m a big fan of hugs and love to give them to my friends. And here`s a little secret, it doesn`t take much to become my friend. Just a little bit of happy talk and we`ll be best buds in no time! So get ready for some squishy Apollo hugs, because once you`re in my inner circle, there`s no turning back. When I`m not giving out hugs, I love to lay in the grass with a good chewy. There`s nothing better than feeling the soft blades of grass under my paws while I chomp away on a delicious treat. I also love to go for walks, especially when there are new smells to discover. You see, I have a great sniffer! I can pick up scents from miles away and it`s always exciting to follow my nose and see where it leads me. Maybe it will lead me to you and I being best friends forever!

Story
I saved her from being hit by a car. I had no intention of keeping her because I just lost my two girls in January and February 2023 and I saved her on April 22, 2024. My son and I figured she was 2- 2 1/2 months old. I would like a family with older children because I don’t know how she will react with younger kids. I would say to introduce kids and other dogs as well as cats very slowly. I want people who will take the time to teach her and spend quality time with her. She’s very high energy so whoever gets her needs a big back yard or a few acres of land where she can run. She’s a digger and a hunter so you need to be very calm and patient while teaching her not to do those two things, but not everything is bad she understands sit

Story
Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves?
