We fostered Autumn during Covid, she was 5 days old 4 1/2 ounces, we ended up adopting her (so she would not be put to sleep) . We also have 2 Chihuahuas that mothered her while she was young. She is 3 yrs old now and gets along great with them. We now have an addition dog that has been in the family for over 8yrs and unfortunately she needs more attention than we can give her. Autumn loves the family, outdoors, playing ball, walks and running.

Hi. My Foster mom has named me Ryder, but I'm also called King Tut. I'm a fun-loving pup with a zest for life. I don't let much get me down and I live life to the fullest. I do love attention! I didn't get a very good start in life so I'm working on my house manners, I will need a patient new family who will continue to help me with this. I'm very smart, I know how to sit. I like to fetch. I'm getting better walking on a leash, and I am house broken. My foster mom has a doggie door and I love to run in and out of it, like I said I just love life now that I'm not in the shelter! I do well in my crate for up to 6 hours, but I would much rather be wherever my humans are. I get along with other dogs. I love to wrestle with my foster brother, he's my best new pal! I absolutely hate cats. So, I would love my new family to have a dog friend for me, but not a cat friend, please! I would do wonderful in a family with older kids. I love to rumble and romp. I often forget I am big and strong and can get very excited. My tail is as strong as an airplane propeller! My favorite treats are nylon stick BarkBones and a KONG filled with peanut butter. I would love to find a very active family where I can stay busy because when I get bored, I sometimes like to find things to eat that do not belong to me. I'm still a silly pup and learning, and I want to learn more. I enjoy the car and would love to see more! I can't wait to meet my new family, and hope they have a yard I can play in. Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. I use to live with a boyfriend who had friends that also moved in with us for a short time that had Poseidon and his sister Athena, when they moved out they left them outside and did not come back so I eventually took them in, I say he is about 4-5 years old now. He’s gotten along with my older pit bull and my older chihuahua but I find that he gets intimidated with bigger dogs around him. He sits before he is fed and knows how to shake and lay down on command. He needs a home where he will get the exercise he needs and more space bigger than an apartment. He is a lover boy he loves to be under the blankets or at the foot side of the bed. He loves cuddling with his sister and is kennel trained, Poseidon doesn’t use the restroom all the time in the house only when he has water available to him 24/7 he will have accidents. He gets zoomies and sometimes gets clumsy while he is zooming, very much still active like a puppy. Poseidon does get anxious when he is left alone or away from sister

I lived with a boyfriend and we had some people stay with us for a short time that had Athena and her brother Poseidon. They left and never came back for them so I took them in, Athena is about 4-5 years old does not get along with other dogs bigger then her or female, I have worked with her with my other dogs and with time and monitor time she does okay, she got into a big fight with my female pit bull and now she has some of her left ear missing, does not bother her. She is a HUGE cuddle bug and wants all the attention, she needs a home where she has space to run around with her brother to play and much exercise. Athena is potty trained but if she has water available 24/7 she will have accidents, she is terrified of storms and has to be with you, she’s broken out of kennels but other then that she is kenneled trained, sits before eating and shakes on command.
