Story
Garnet is a true heartthrob--gentle, sweet, goofy, smart. He will lean up against you and stare into your eyes like you've known each other many lifetimes. We adopted Garnet from a shelter recently only to discover that he needs types of training and support that we cannot accommodate. We are heartbroken but hopeful there is the right home out there waiting for him. He struggles with separation anxiety, and it is very important that he find someone willing and able to support his needs and growth around it. He's also still learning his leash manners and can pull like a freight train when he's excited/overstimulated, but we've seen daily improvement. In our experience, he has been great with humans, dogs, and even our cat right off the bat! He has shown no signs of aggression, knows basic commands, and is responsive to other dogs' boundaries. We believe his ideal environment would be somewhere that he can access both a sense of security/comfort and consistent mental & physical exercise.

Story
Sweet and loving dog. Recently rescued but I just do not have the time she deserves. I am a single father, I work full time and I also attend college full time. She deserves more affection than I can give her with my busy schedule. She loves to play and run around in the yard. She is great with my son who is five years old. She was good around other dogs the couple times I tried it. The only reason I'm looking to re-home is that I feel awful she doesn't get the attention she deserves with my busy schedule.

Story
MEET ROMEO, a handsome, loyal, protective Black Mouth Cur. Romeo is a handsome 6-year-old male, and he weighs about 74 lbs. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo is a gorgeous, handsome dog who loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike! He's a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from walks, hikes, and exercise, and people who understand his breed. Please email for an application.

Lia is one of the most cuddly dogs you will ever meet. She loves snuggling but also enjoys long walks and hikes. She’s very easy to manage and take care of- feed her once a day, take her on a walk, and let her outside to use the bathroom every now and then.
