Story
KIM: The Professional Cuddle EnthusiastSome dogs enjoy affection.Kim has turned it into a full-time profession. If Kim could design her perfect day, it would include a nice walk, some playtime with other dogs, a few snacks, and an unreasonable amount of cuddling. In fact, if there were an Olympic event for receiving affection, we believe Kim would be a serious contender for a medal. What makes Kim especially remarkable is how quickly she decided to trust the good things in life. After spending much of her life surviving on the streets, one might expect her to be cautious, uncertain, or reluctant to adapt. Kim apparently disagreed with that plan completely.Instead, she embraced home life as though she had been practicing for it all along. She learned to walk on a leash, enjoys spending time indoors, comes when called, and loves being close to her people. Not near them. Not in the same room.Close.Kim firmly believes that humans were invented for petting dogs, and she sees no reason to question this conclusion.Additional photographic evidence supporting Kim's theories about humans and petting can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/kim-2026040dShe also loves other dogs and would be delighted to have canine friends to play with, provided they are as friendly and respectful as she is.At heart, Kim is simply a dog who wants to love and be loved. After everything life has asked of her, she remains gentle, trusting, playful, and endlessly affectionate. These days, Kim isn't looking for much.Just a family who enjoys walks, believes in regular cuddle sessions, and doesn't mind having a loyal little shadow following them around.Honestly, she has been preparing for that role her entire life. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
MEET ROMEO, a handsome, loyal, protective Black Mouth Cur. Romeo is a gorgeous 6-1/2-year-old male, and he weighs about 74 lbs. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike and go on exciting journeys! Romeo is a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern or with an experienced adopter. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from exercise, and people who understand his breed. He's currently in California but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Meet Abigail! Abigail is a beautiful 3-4 month old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 25 pounds, and she's as sweet as they come. Abigail and her three siblings were born into an unwanted litter and rescued from a small Texas town just days before they were scheduled to be euthanized. Now this precious girl is ready to trade her difficult start for the loving forever home she deserves. If you're looking for a puppy who loves everyone, Abigail is your girl. She absolutely adores people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and should do great with cats thanks to her gentle, easygoing personality. She's also great with kids and would fit right into a family looking for a loyal new best friend. One of Abigail's funniest little quirks is sticking her nose into the water and blowing bubbles—it never fails to make everyone smile! Whether she's making a splash, playing with her dog friends, or snuggling up for attention, Abigail is happiest when she's surrounded by the people she loves. And then there are her eyes... Abigail has the sweetest puppy dog eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. One look from this precious girl, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without her. Abigail has already been given a second chance at life. Now she's hoping for the one thing she's been waiting for all along—a forever family to love her. Could that be you?
