Her origin: a backyard breeder, so Kalina missed out on socialization and gentle handling every dog deserves. Because of that, she can be quite shy at first, especially around new people and in new places. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines through: a sweet, goofy, playful soul.   Kalina has the most velvety, deep red, soft coat and the deepest, most soulful eyes that seem to understand everything. She’s already house trained and is incredibly loyal once she bonds with you. Because of her past, Kalina would do best in a home with a patient, understanding adopter who’s ready to give her the time, consistency, and gentle love she needs to blossom. We love Duke but are nearing retirement and will be traveling to care for family members out of state. We don't think it's fair to Duke to leave him all the time. Duke loves people and other animals. We've sent him to extensive puppy/dog training and have worked with him since his training to ensure he continues to behave well. He's great around kids of all ages. My husband has had him in the woods tracking animals, so if this is your thing he has a lot of potential. You will love him!
