Story
Maddie is a 3 year old, 73 lb Bloodhound/German Shepherd mix who is still looking for the right home. She is potty trained, crate trained, and does best in a home where people are around often. Maddie enjoys playing with other dogs and going on walks. She has an energetic play style and needs a large, active dog who can keep up with her. Maddie is friendly with people but may be a little shy at first. Because of her size and energy level, she would be a better fit for a home with children 7 and up. She can be a bit unaware of her size at times. She is currently working with a trainer on her leash skills, so she will need an adopter who is willing to continue that work. Maddie would do best with an experienced dog owner. She is not a fit for homes with cats or apartment living. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting Maddie, please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2088340##

Story
Meet Sheldon – Your Adventure-Ready Best Friend Sheldon is a 2-year-old Pit/Plott Hound mix weighing around 58 lbs who is ready to trade shelter life for a home full of fun, love, and adventure. After spending 240 days waiting as of 06/18/26, he's now one of our Diamond Dogs, and his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75. This handsome, athletic guy is full of personality and charm. Sheldon is playful, energetic, and absolutely loves being around people. He thrives on attention and is always up for whatever comes next- whether it's a walk, playtime, or just hanging out with his favorite humans. Sheldon is smart, eager to please, and ready to learn. With consistency, positive training, and a little structure, he has all the potential to grow into an amazing, well-mannered companion. He's the perfect match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a dog to be part of all of life's adventures. Sheldon would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention and truly bond with his person. In return, he'll be a loyal, affectionate companion who keeps life exciting and your heart full. Sheldon is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his core vaccinations, and heartworm negative- he's healthy and ready to go home. If you're looking for a fun, energetic dog who will keep you smiling and be your constant sidekick, Sheldon may be the perfect match for you.
