Mousey is an adorable dog and will make a perfect family pet! She loves all other dogs and romps and plays all day at the ranch with many other breeds...kind of like a dog park in reverse. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. Very well house trained and will ignore any objects that you tell him are off limits. He only provides a little resistance during bathing. Despite being an older dog, I have found him to be highly trainable and touch motivated. When other dogs bark at him, you will find him running to you for comfort. When he does rarely, bark it's usually at very distant sounds.

They are working on puppy pad training and their adopter should be up for house training them, with some **puppy classes. However, she is crate trained. They need an Austin, TX area home with a privacy fenced yard, no swimming pool unless fenced, no children under 5 years due to their sharp puppy teeth and behavior. A canine sibling will be a great to help out with further training. **As of 11/7/25, Dove is currently on a month-long puppy training program at a training camp. See the video above.
