Story
My given name from my foster mom is exactly who I am. Asta... this name means "divine strength", "love", and "star-like". I was abandoned by my first family on the side of the highway for a few months with my sister Kinsley. She was my protector during that time. I was terribly traumatized by being abandoned. Today I'm a shining star with beautiful grey eyes that match my coat. I like to play and go on backyard adventures with my sister and dog foster family. I like everyone and get along with other dogs and I'm a bit submissive and respectful towards everyone. I have beautiful pleading grey eyes that draw attention and make most ppl say awwwww and have a low key nature about me. We love each other very much and want to stay together for life! Please find it in your heart to adopt us together! We promise years of love and fun :) Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile:   Alfalfa is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone so we are not considering apartments for him at this time. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. Alfalfa can be a bit mischievous, and is learning the ropes of being in a house, but with proper guidance we believe he will thrive. He is very food motivated and wants to please, making training good stimulation for him.  As Alfalfa has settled in he has demonstrated some leash reactivity as well as guardian breed behavior with new people. He is great with other dogs off leash and responds to their well to their c o rrections if they aren't up for his enthusiasm. Alfie is a smart, trainable guy, who will benefit from an owner with strong leadership skills and large breed experience who is willing to continue his early start in training. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus shelter in Modesto, Calfornia  via START, arriving to foster care on 1/15 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 18, 2026, 3:45 pm

Story
Animal Information: Lillith is an estimated 1-year-old, female, German Shepherd mix currently weighing approximately 72lbs. Lillith is described as clumsy pup with lots of energy to burn. She was brought into the shelter while pregnant and her puppies have all beed adopted out. After spending roughly 23.5 hours in a small kennel a day, her energy has built up and she's working on re-learning some manners. But who could blame her? Kennel life is no life for a girl like her. Shelter staff have reported that she is very friendly, sweet and loves some treats. Foster Profile:   Lillith is a "happy go lucky” girl, with a touch of timidity. She is dog and people friendly, and walks nicely on leash. She has done well with older kids and we hope to test out younger ones soon. She is quite friendly and does jump up when excited, making knockovers a potential issue with littles, but we’re working on this and making progress. She is highly food motivated which is a big help with her training. Lillith already knows sit, down, and place and we are working on proofing these with longevity and distractions. She is really a joy to work with!  Lillith has moderate energy and would love an active family. However, she does have an off switch and is able to lay down and chill inside which is great. She is crate trained and we are making good progress with potty training; no accidents recently keeping to a regular schedule and routine. Lillith will do best with a family who is willing to provide structure and has an active lifestyle. An extra bonus would be another dog in her home! Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA.. She will be transferred via [TRANSPORT], arriving to foster care on 2/8/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 6, 2026, 11:45 am

Story
Animal Profile: Apollo was adopted as a puppy in 2018. He was well loved and cared for by a wonderful member of the dog community here in WA. Unfortunately, due to a tragic accident, his owner passed away and Apollo returned to the rescue. We are committed to finding him a new home that will uphold the standard of love and care Apollo received from his previous owner. Apollo is crate trained, house trained, and friendly with other dogs. In true Doberman form, he can be watchful of strangers, but does make friends easily. Apollo has great manners inside and outside the home, and will be a wonderful companion to one lucky family. Foster Update:  Apollo is a loyal and intelligent dog looking for a calm, committed home where he can truly bond with his person. He thrives as an only pet and would do best with someone who understands the value of patience and trust. Once you've earned his loyalty, Apollo is deeply devoted and eager to please his person. In the home, Apollo is easy to live with. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, knows all his basic commands and walks beautifully on leash. He prefers a quiet environment and enjoys having his own space, especially when it comes to interactions with other dogs. While he currently lives alongside other canines, he does not actively seek their company and would rather do his own thing. Apollo needs a home without cats or small animals due to his high prey drive. With the right person by his side, Apollo has all the makings of a wonderful, steadfast companion. If you're looking for a dog who wants to build a meaningful, one-on-one connection, Apollo may be your perfect match. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Apollo is a WA state owner surrender who joined our rescue on 04/26/25.  February 21, 2026, 10:24 pm
