Animal Information: Sassy is a 1-year-old petite girl weighing about 40 lbs. Our rescue partners described her as a “Walmart greeter” because she is happy to meet every person and dog she comes across. Sassy was found in a small rural area of about 2,000 people east of Tulsa, and sadly no one came looking for her. She’s an energetic girl who also knows how to settle down and chill. She loves playing with stuffed animals and, when it’s time to relax, she’ll lean right into you for attention. Sassy is a sweet, social girl who would love a family that enjoys having a fun, happy dog around. Foster Profile: Sassy LOVES People! She also gets along great with foster's resident dog and loves to jump and wrestle with him. She loves playing with other dogs and would love to have a balanced canine companion in her forever home. While she would do awesome on hikes and loves playtime, she also loves to snuggle and relax after a good session of exercise. She sleeps through the night in her crate with no problem and while she might get some FOMO when in crate when you are home, she quickly settles down. Sassy will need some leash work as she is a puller, but we are working on that! She likes to play fetch with a tennis ball and enjoys chewing on semi soft toys as well. She knows "sit" and "drop it". She is a young, smart,  eager to please and learn girl who will benefit from continued play and training-- she's a keeper! Animal Information: Archie is  9-week-old Cattle Dog X puppy who somehow found himself in the Stanislaus shelter in California. NOT cool. This sweet boy  deserved way better, and, like, one look at those totally adorable eyes and we were all, “Dude… we gotta get him out of there." So we did.  This sweet boy is staying in the rescue center with our contact in California to keep him out of the general population in the shelter while he waits for his freedom ride north  – he is the sweetest, and he loves his crate! Foster Profile: Archie has blossomed in the last few days. He came scared of everything and is gaining confidence everyday. His favorite activities are running around with the kids in the back yard, he loves the outdoors and playing with the other dogs. He gets right in there with the big boys unaware he is still a little puppy. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night. Animal Information: Oliver is  an estimated 12 week old male Cattle Dog X.  He arrived at Caddo Parrish Animal Services in Louisianna as a stray. He is a happy puppy as you can see from his video.  We were asked to take him by our rescue partner Tail Lights Rescue Project and couldn't say no.He is now out of the shelter in a loving foster home, awaiting transport to the PNW. Foster Profile:  Oliver is a bright 3 month old cattle dog mix who weighs around 17 pounds and ready to find his forever home.  Despite his youth Oliver is quickly learning potty training, his name, sit, down, and is working on “leave it”.   He is also turning into a season city commuter and gets regular socialization by riding public transport to the office multple times per week.  He’s doing great with all the new people, sounds, and sights!  Oliver is super playful.  His high intelligence and trainability mean he is primed to grow into the ultimate companion for your next weekend hike, brewery patio visit, or family camping trip. My owner passed away, leaving me behind with my six puppies. Thankfully, some kind neighbors stepped up to care for us until Hay Dude Rescue could take us in. I’ve spent my time being a mama, looking out for my babies, and doing my best to survive. Now it’s finally MY turn to be taken care of. I’m about 2 years old and weigh around 55 pounds, which makes me a perfectly sized companion for someone looking for a medium-sized best friend. I’m a beautiful girl with a heart of gold, but I’ll be honest with you: I’m a little shy when meeting new people. I’ve spent time as a street dog, and when you’re trying to survive and protect six little puppies, you learn to be cautious about the world around you. I’m not an aggressive girl; I just need a little time to figure out that you’re one of the good ones. I do best when people let me approach at my own pace instead of expecting me to be best friends five seconds after meeting. Give me patience, kindness, and a little understanding, and you’ll start to see the real Rio emerge. ❤️ And let me tell you, once I get comfortable? I’m actually pretty funny! I have a silly side that comes out when I feel safe, and it’s such a joy to watch my personality blossom. I’ve officially earned my retirement from motherhood! My dream home would be a calm, quieter household with people who understand that trust takes time. I could do well with respectful children who understand how to be gentle and give me space, but a home full of constant chaos, loud noises, and tiny humans acting like unsupervised hooligans probably isn’t my cup of tea. 😂 I just want a peaceful place where I can relax and learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all. I'm Dixie, and I'm looking for my very own forever family! My story started with a heartbreaking chapter. My human passed away, leaving my mama and all six of us puppies behind. Thankfully, we got our chance at a fresh start, and now I'm ready to find the family I've been waiting for. We think I'm an Australian Shepherd x Cattle Dog mix, which means I may have inherited some serious smarts along with my good looks. And speaking of looks — have you noticed my eyes? I've got one of those gorgeous blue-eyed looks that makes people stop scrolling and say, "Well, would you look at HER!" I reckon I was born knowing how to work the camera! I'm the largest girl in my litter, but I'm also a little more laid-back than some of my siblings.
