Story
Animal Profile: Copper is an estimated 3-year-old, 80 lb neutered male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. He was originally picked up as a stray in Georgia and joined us from via Project Freedom Ride. He was evaluated to be very friendly with dogs and people. Foster Update: Copper is young and full of energy, but it's easy to wear him out with some exercise. He loves to chase balls, although he is still working on returning and dropping them. Copper can be cautious around new people, but once he warms up to them (or they give him a treat), he is very affectionate. He is able to make friends with other dogs after slow and proper introductions. With a confident handler, Copper doesn't react much to other dogs when on leash. He likes to lead but does not pull on walks. Adopter Profile: Single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. No cats or small animals. Large breed experience and breed experience a plus!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/Bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue. Apply online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was picked by animal control in GA and transported via Project Freedom Ride to Seattle.  He arriving here on 10/22/22 and has been in foster care for nearly a year.  He is eager to find his forever home and is available for adoption.April 24, 2024, 4:16 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Tink is a 4-month-old Doberman that was found wandering as a stray. This poor puppy weighs only 12lbs, and we’re desperate to get her some groceries! Despite obvious neglect and an abscessed tooth, Tink in playful and friendly. This resilient little girl definitely deserves a safe spot to land here in Seattle.  Foster Update: Tink is everything a Doberman puppy should be: smart, loving, loyal, and a little bit (sometimes a lotta bit) sassy. Tink is doing great on house and crate training. Her fosters are helping her get acclimated to a leash, and learn basic manners. Tink is a typical Velcro dobe - she loves to be with you wherever you are. This puppy will make wonderful companion to the right family! Tink will need continued socialization, training, and a good diet in her forever home. With her current size, we anticipate she’ll be on the petite side of the breed. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Madera Animal Shelter and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 03/17. This dog is fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.April 24, 2024, 4:16 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Rose and Sadie were found abandoned in Cheney, WA in 2020. They were rescued by a loving family and have been in a home ever since. Unfortunately, one of their owners suffered a life-alternating medical emergency that resulted in massive brain surgery. This person now requires round-the-clock care, and the dogs need a new place to call home. When we heard their story, we had to help! Rose and Sadie are both dog friendly and have lived with large and small dogs, as well as gone to doggy daycare. They are house and crate trained, and true to the breed would like to be your constant shadow. Rose and Sadie have been around children ranging from toddlers to teens. Rose can get a little tired of the small ones and will excuse herself to a crate if she’s done interacting. Sadie would love nothing more than to permanently attach herself to the kids. Rose and Sadie have lived together since 2020 and, while not required, we would consider a same-household adoption for these girls.  Foster Update: Coming soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Story
Animal Profile: Ashley is an estimated 2-year-old Doberman mix that weighs 67lbs. She’s coming from Apple Valley Animal Services, where she was assessed to be friendly with people and dogs, and very well mannered on leash. We couldn’t let this gorgeous girl sit in a shelter where she was at risk, so she’s heading to Washington to start a new life. We are excited to get to know her in foster care and help her find her happily ever after.  Foster Update:  Sweet Ashley has blossomed in foster care and is ready to find her forever home.  She is fostered in a home with a toddler and is gentle and respects the child’s space. She gets along excellent with the resident dogs as well as other dogs she has met on property. She loves to play but also knows when it is time to relax and coexist calmly. Ashley has moderate prey drive so understanding how to redirect her excitement toward small animals and fulfilling her prey drive will be necessary. She loves to go on walks and adventure and settles really nicely in the home. She is motivated by food, play, and affection!  Ashley would do well in an active home who will continue her training and provide her with structure and exercise. She could easily go to a home with children. She would love a canine companion but it’s not required. Ashley has not been cat tested at this time Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Apple Valley, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 3/14/2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.April 24, 2024, 4:16 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Dante! He is a beautiful, 1-year-old, 56 lb Doberman who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life. We are not sure of his past life, but he came to us very underweight and covered in ticks. We are working to get him back to a healthy weight. Dante is a very sweet boy who loves to go for walks but can put hard on the leash. He will need some work on his overall obedience skills. He does know some basic commands. He is very treat motivated which is great for training. He is very interested in squeaky toys and may have some prey drive so we are recommending a home without cats or other small animals for now. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. He has done well with other dogs in our care and would do great with another dog in the home but could do fine as an only dog as well. Dante is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Chopper! He is a gorgeous, purebred, 7-month-old, Doberman Pinscher who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life Chopper is fun, active boy who still has very puppy like energy and will need work on his overall obedience and leash skills. She can be a little mouthy (playful), so we are not recommending small children at this time. He does great with other dogs and loves to play and would love another playful dog in the home. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood where he can run and play. No city life for him. He enjoys going for walks but can be barky at other dogs passing by as he wants to engage them in play. He loves to go on walks and run and would love an active adopter who loves to run or would take him on adventures. Chopper is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.

Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Ivy's an active, playful, and smart 3-month-old Doberman Pinscher ready for her fresh start! This cutie is looking for a family that can give her plenty of daily play, exercise, mental enrichment, and socialization. Ivy will probably make an excellent hiking buddy or running partner. Ivy loves to play with other dogs, but we don't know if she's ever lived with cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. She is looking for a home without chickens, or other birds. Ivy can be sensitive to handling and is looking for a home with just dog-experienced teens and adults. Due to her breed and future size, she may not be a good fit for an apartment or condo. If you're ready to welcome home this precious pup, send in an adoption application today!

Story
This sweet boy is a social butterfly, always ready to show off his belly for those coveted belly rubs, even with new friends. When it comes to doggy introductions, Bebe is a gentle greeter, preferring to make friends with dogs his size. He is not one for rough play and will politely back away from any four-legged friend showing aggression until things calm down. During his encounters with a curious stray cat, Bebe's sniffometer definitely spikes! But, true to his loyal nature, he listens well to her handler's cues to move along. With moderate energy levels, Bebe loves outdoor adventures but transforms into a calm companion indoors, making him the ideal buddy for any occasion. Resource guarding? Not in Bebe's playbook! He is incredibly easy-going, sharing his treasures without a second thought. Mastering the art of leash walking and the fine technique of car entry and exit, Bebe is quite the clever cookie. Plus, his extensive training means he is fluent in a plethora of commands! While Bebe currently does his business both indoors and outdoors, once he settles into a routine, he’ll happily transition to outdoor potty exclusivity. If you're on the lookout for a tender-hearted and intelligent companion, Bebe is the perfect match for you! To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jyd1-1Ak8SH0dp-PVO4byAE

Story
Murphy was an Animal Control seizure case last Fall when he was found dragging his hind end over gravel, and weighing less than half of the body weight he should have been. He was given to us to attempt to rehab, but that process has been a very slow and painful one. He is a big boy that requires strength to manage, and as hard as he tries, not every day has been better than his last. ? Murphy loves people and is the sweetest guy, and his recent MRI results show that his body ***should just about fully recover, but he needs someone devoted to his care and his rehab and that’s a tall order to fill. Murphy gets along with other dogs, but wants to overpower small males dogs (he has not been neutered yet as we were originally told he would need his hormones to recover). He is not safe around cats. He is about five years old. Murph is mobile (we will post video in the comments), but really needs time and a person with that same amount of time and patience to provide his PT exercises. Please help us by sharing this post and pray with us that someone out there exists who is meant to be his person. All physical therapy appointments and medical care (& food, etc) will be covered by PACK. If you think you have the huge heart and strength to help this wonderful boy heal please email packcares@gmail.com and include your phone number. We love you big guy and we hope we find your perfect place very soon! ??????Located in Pierce County, WA.April 24, 2024, 11:50 am
