Story
Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile:   Alfalfa is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone so we are not considering apartments for him at this time. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. Alfalfa can be a bit mischievous, and is learning the ropes of being in a house, but with proper guidance we believe he will thrive. He is very food motivated and wants to please, making training good stimulation for him.  As Alfalfa has settled in he has demonstrated some leash reactivity as well as guardian breed behavior with new people, both are improving with the guidance of his committed fosters. He is great with other dogs off leash, big and small, and responds well to their c o rrections if they aren't up for his enthusiasm. Alfie is a smart, trainable guy, who will benefit from an owner with strong leadership skills and large breed experience. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus shelter in Modesto, Calfornia  via START, arriving to foster care on 1/15 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.May 24, 2026, 11:08 am

Story
Animal Information:  Meet Viola! She and her 3 sisters are 9 week old Dobie mix puppies who  will be joining us fron California on Sunday 04/05/2026.  Foster Profile: Viola is an amazing puppy with a big personality. It goes without saying that she is adorable, with the cutest little nub of a tail, eyes that stare into your soul, and some of the most gorgeous and unusual markings on her paws - tan socks with black marks running the length of each of her toes, almost like painted nails. She is a total sweetheart wants nothing more than to be wherever her people are. She is a big fan of other dogs, including her fosters' 100+lb mammoth who she climbs all over without hesitation, and would do well with a confident dog that doesn't mind her puppy energy. She is playful and a bit mischievous, and has decided that rocks are the most desirable finds in the world. After all, why else would the humans always be trying to steal them from her? But she is very responsive to direction and already demonstrates great bite inhibition for a puppy her age. Despite those razor sharp little puppy teeth, she is quite gentle when playing, taking treats, or having the aforementioned rocks removed from her mouth. She would be happy to play chase, tug of war, or fetch, or even just climb up into your lap to sit in the sun. And boy is she a talker! I never thought of that as a Dobie trait, but anytime you hang out near her, she lets out the cutest little huffy grumbles to make sure you know her opinion is known. But smarties tend to have a lot to say, and she is unusually bright. In the three days we've had her, she seems to have gotten the hang of potty training; she alerts when she needs to go out, does her business right away, and then plops down proudly for treats and praise. She has not had an accident indoors since her first night with her foster and is clearly eager to please. When she wants attention, she will often take a seat primly in front of you and stare up for direction. At this point, she has pretty much mastered the "sit" command, and she is so attuned to people that we think she will be a dream to train. This little wiggle butt is going to be big - she sports massive paws and sometimes even trips over them, but she's too rough and tumble to let it phase her. She is full of personality, love, and sass, and I suspect everyone who meets her is going to want to take her home. We are looking for a single family hone with a securely fenced yard for Viola. We are not considering apartments for her at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto, CA. They will be transferred via Wiggle Butt Transport, arriving to foster care on 04/05/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. May 24, 2026, 11:08 am

Animal Information: Atlas, Morrigan, Nyx, Vesper and Raven are 10 week old purebred Dobermans with natural ears and tails. They were born in foster care in Modesto, and the shelter staff wanted to avoid putting them into a kennel enviornment, so they reached out to see if we could help. How could we say no? These puppies are healthy and social, and will be large breed dogs that would do best in homes with working breed experience, in single family residences with fenced yards.  Foster Profile:  Meet our adorable Doberman puppy Raven— the perfect mix of sweet, smart, and playful! This little one loves cuddles just as much as learning new tricks and already shows the loyal, loving personality Dobermans are known for. With a curious mind and a gentle heart, this pup is always ready for an adventure, or curling up beside you after a long day. Whether you’re looking for a future best friend, family companion, or intelligent training partner, this puppy is sure to steal your heart. Story
Animal Information: This sweet boy is estimated to be 5-months-old. He has natural ears and a docked tail, and despite his friendly demenor someone thought it was a good idea to dump him in Perris, CA. Lucky for him he was picked up by a good Samaritan and found his way into care with our rescue partners at Angels of Rawley Foundation. We are excited to give him the home he deserves here in the PNW! Foster Profile: Louie is a wonderful, typical naughty land shark puppy. He’s doing really well with house training, settles great in his crate, and is a quick learner who’s very food motivated. I took him hiking with my dogs today and he’s already improving on leash. He can be a little unsure in new situations, but benefits a lot from encouragement, repetition, and having another confident dog around to follow. He’s generally respectful and plays nicely with my dogs. He was a bit pushier with my in-laws’ smaller dog, but honestly still very appropriate overall for a puppy his age. We’re also working on building his play drive — he loves stuffies and tug! Really, the main thing he’ll need continued guidance and consistency with is his mouthiness, which is very on-brand for a young Doberman puppy. Louie's ideal home would be a single family residence with a secure yard, large working breed experience, and a desire to work and train so he can be a wonderful rescue and breed representative. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Animal Profile: Apollo was adopted as a puppy in 2018. He was well loved and cared for by a wonderful member of the dog community here in WA. Unfortunately, due to a tragic accident, his owner passed away and Apollo has returned to the rescue. We are committed to finding him a new home that will uphold the standard of love and care Apollo received from his previous owner. Apollo is crate trained, house trained, and friendly with other dogs. In true Doberman form, he can be watchful of strangers, but does make friends easily. Apollo has great manners inside and outside the home, and will be a wonderful companion to one lucky family. Foster Update:  Apollo is a loyal and intelligent dog looking for a calm, committed home where he can truly bond with his person. He thrives as an only pet and would do best with someone who understands the value of patience and trust. Once you've earned his loyalty, Apollo is deeply devoted and eager to please his person. In the home, Apollo is easy to live with. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, knows all his basic commands and walks beautifully on leash. He prefers a quiet environment and enjoys having his own space, especially when it comes to interactions with other dogs. While he currently lives alongside other canines, he does not actively seek their company and would rather do his own thing. Apollo needs a home without cats or small animals due to his high prey drive. With the right person by his side, Apollo has all the makings of a wonderful, steadfast companion. If you're looking for a dog who wants to build a meaningful, one-on-one connection, Apollo may be your perfect match. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Apollo is a WA state owner surrender who joined our rescue on 04/26/25.  May 24, 2026, 11:08 am
