Online Adoption Application › Meet Myla Myla is a beautiful Bluetick Coonhound rescued in September 2024 from Cumberland County Shelter in Fayetteville, NC, where she was on the euthanasia list.  Myla is an enthusiastic, smart, and affectionate hound who loves to communicate her excitement with her bay. She is highly food-motivated, enjoys learning, and does best with structure and enrichment. She is not aggressive but does have some behavioral sensitivities, including frustration with barriers and noise sensitivity. She is actively working with the NC State Behavioral Medicine team and has completed a board-and-train at Green Beagle Lodge. All professional reports can be shared. Myla loves other dogs, lives well with a small dog, was respectful of a free-roam indoor bunny, and tested indifferent to cats at the shelter. She has a sensitive stomach and eats Purina HA prescription kibble. Myla would thrive in a committed, structured home with someone who understands hounds and enjoys training. Thank you for considering this special girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2026, 11:43 am

Story
Riley is a loving 10 year old blue tick / Great Dane mix. He is great with adults and teenagers. He loves chest scratches, long walks, swimming, tug of war, chasing squirrels, strawberry tops and peanut butter. He’s still very active for a ten year old, with no history of joint or other medical issues, but still spends most of his day lounging on the couch or in the nearest sun beam. He dislikes thunderstorms, fireworks, and gluten. He comes from a home with cats where they tend to give each other space, so I’m unsure how he’d do with cats in a new home. Riley would be best in a quiet home where he’s the only dog, with no small children around. While he generally likes small humans he meets out in the world, being in small confined spaces with them, and the chaos that comes with, for extended periods of time is not ideal.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jasper. That’s probably not my real name because my story is unfortunately a lot like many other unwanted pets. I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded. I’m looking for my person who is ready to be my furever person. One who will love me and never give up on me. I’ve been waiting a long time to just be loved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 6, 2025, 12:44 pm

Story
Meet Orieanna, a beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 45 pounds. She’s spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccines, and ready for a loving forever home. Orieanna is a sweet, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with her person. She’s potty trained, enjoys a good routine, and loves spending time outside—whether it’s exploring the yard, lounging in the sun, or going for relaxing walks. She gets along well with most dogs, but she prefers a home where toys aren’t left out when other dogs are around, as she can be a bit protective of them. Because she bonds so deeply, Orieanna thrives best in a one-person household where she can feel secure and be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your best friend through every adventure, Orieanna might be the perfect match.
