Meet Harrison! 🖤 SUMMARY * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Harrison will take time and patience to fully open up, so he needs an understanding adopter! * We transport our babies from Houston, TX to their adopters (adoption fee includes transport) * Adoption Fee (cat > 1.5 yrs) is $315 and includes all vetting and cost of transport Harrison is a big, handsome Bombay mix with an even bigger personality! With his gorgeous yellow-green eyes, impressive jumping skills, and goofy antics, he’s impossible not to love. He may look like a serious gentleman at first glance, but spend a little time with him and you’ll quickly discover the playful, affectionate, slightly silly cat hiding underneath that handsome exterior. He is a total goofball! Harrison spent the first few years of his life living underneath a local bar alongside several other cats. When the bar closed, Harrison and his friends suddenly had no one to care for or feed them. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where they received the veterinary care they needed and began learning what it means to live the good life indoors. Harrison was a little shy at first, but after spending time getting comfortable living the good life he is ready for a permanent family. He has come such a long way in a few months and has blossomed into an absolute sweetheart! Once Harrison trusts you, he loves a good cheek scratch or butt scratch, and he may even roll over asking for belly rubs. He can get a little carried away when he’s excited and may give an occasional love nip, so he’s still learning some manners when it comes to expressing his affection. Harrison does have a few quirks that we expect will continue to improve with time, patience, love, and the stability of a forever home. He isn’t a fan of being picked up, and he can become nervous when someone looms over him. He does best when given the opportunity to approach people on his own terms, or if he is approached when he’s on a perch (just a little higher up than the floor!) With a little patience and respect for his boundaries, Harrison is a wonderful companion and a perfect little gentleman. And despite his size, Harrison is still a kitten at heart when it comes to playtime! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and his eyes light up when he sees one. He’s also a big fan of wet food and will happily come investigate whenever the “good stuff” makes an appearance. Churu treats are another very effective way to win his heart. He isn’t an overly chatty guy, but when he’s getting especially good pets, he may reward you with a few adorable little chirps. Harrison’s favorite hobby is sitting at his perch and watching the birds outside the window. His ideal home will have plenty of vertical space, perches, and cozy places where he can climb, observe his surroundings, and feel safe. Harrison’s journey has taken a little longer than some, and that’s okay. He may need several weeks (or even more) to feel comfortable in a new environment. He hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but he is a true ray of sunshine once he knows he’s safe. We know the right person will understand that earning Harrison’s trust is a process, and we promise he is worth every bit of patience. Shadow Moon our stunning licorice supermodel with a grumpy face Tons of babies who sadly were orphaned at a young age. But don't despair! Joey is such a joy - NON STOP biscuits n tummy rubs - THERAPY KITTEN's Story We had an EMERGENCY shelter evacuation this week due to their AC failing and all had to get to safety immediately. The following kittens were all rescued (luckily most had been in fosters prior) and all are super special and super lucky but part of our 26 angels. They are anywhere from 8 to 25 wks old so almost ALL are TOO SMALL TO GO as SOLO pets to a home UNLESS u already have a young cat in your home - so have to be paired up. They are absolutely the sweetest and simply some of the cutest and prettiest kitties ever! Note this group does have spay neuter discounts and lower donations EXCEPT if they are the fluffiest as those have waitlists. SOME are bonded so please read below. Alfie, Bodhi, Joey - these tiny 10 wk old cuties are as sweet as they can possibly be. Already deemed therapy cats just like the magnificent 7 listed here below, they are SOOO friendly and SOOOO cuddly it's insane! Just so great - no words truly can say how epic! Dudley, Hugh, Luke, Nelle, Shirley, Steven, Theodora - these 7 10-12 wk olds are literally the SWEETEST kittens we have out of the 100s posted. They make biscuits in your arms, give kisses and are so soft and cuddly. Some have ears that are "funky" from birth - no medical issues - they are perfect in every way! Opal and Willow - these 12-14 wk sisters absolutely adore each other. While Willow is bold and outgoing, Opal can be shy at first. We suggest no small children in the home so that she can get more quiet and patience because she will open up once feeling safe and WOW her green eyes are spectacular. Cayenne and Jalapeno - WOW are these 2 11-14wk old cuties RARE and EXOTIC. First, Cayenne is a MALE torbico which are ALWAYS female but not him, while Japapeno is a Maine Coon mix and a buff color we also don't commonly see. Second, they are bros so what the heck?!! Note... higher donation due to rarity and also note that they can be "spicy" at first but then quickly settle once calm and feeling safe. Small children not good match for that reason. Note - All except Opal and Willow are not spayed neutered as of today but most can be done this week. So donation will vary due to that needing to be done. Christina - teeny tiny sad kitten - won't somebody be her new mom or dad? Our fosters are have so many kittens are now big enough to be adopted SOLO. They are anywhere from 12-20 wks old so they are now ready to be only cats, althouugh ALL would love buddies as they are super social. Olive Garden - this 12-16 wk old supermodel (split faced markings and amazing black eyeliner) is one rockin' kitten! she was born and raised in a lovely home but sadly they had to give her up as another older cat in the home wanted to be an only cat and despite trying everything, he was still too upset about her moving in. She is GREAT with all cats dogs and kids and just a perfect angel. Old enough to be solo too! Hoolio - this 12 wk old bombay chocolate angel is SOOOO amazing in every way. WOW does he have a tale to tell - found in the MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY next to his dead mom (SOOO sad) - luckily a passerby saw and rushed him to the rescue where he spent all day giving kisses and making biscuits. Truly amazing and wow what a lover. Great with other pets too. Agatha - 12-14 wk old bombay Agatha cannot stop chatting to us about how happy she is. She is joy in a licorice package. Perfect first cat, Perfect ANY cat... she is just wonderful cuddly and low shed. She is great with everyone and non stop biscuit maker too! Just awesome Jasper - this 12-16 wk old beauty is def a super model and super lover all in one. She is happy chirpy fun. At least, we think he's a kitten. He's also part bunny, and has the uncanny ability to charm every single human on the planet. Everyone who meets him immediately falls in love, and you will too!Asteroid Destroyer strikes a balance between playful, mischievous, cuddly, sweet, and sassy. He loves running around the house with a toy in his mouth, growling adorably if you try and take it away. He is by far the tiniest kitten in his foster home, but that doesn't stop him from being right in the middle of the action - he'll wrestle and play with everyone! At the end of a busy day being a kitten, Asteroid Destroyer absolutely loves to sleep in a "cuddle puddle" with a few of his kitten buddies, or snuggle up in bed with his foster mom. Even though he's insanely photogenic with his perfectly round and fuzzy face, shiny black fur, and little bear cub paws... photos just don't do him justice! There's something special about Asteroid Destroyer and we're so excited to find him the perfect family who will love his quirky personality!
