Story
We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at  540-987-6050  or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. July 30, 2026, 1:30 pm

Story
Meet Sasha! This beautiful, loving girl is 3 years old and a love bugaroo. She came to us after her owner surrendered her because she wasn't getting along with the dog and then sadly, Sasha came to be on the euthanasia list at the shelter. With her hold time up, Forgotten Felines had to get her out of there. Not-so-fun-fact: more black colored cats are euthanized than any other color cats (75% more) because they are the last to be adopted because people think they are boring. In actuality, I believe black cats have more personality than the others and Sasha certainly proves my philosophy. We believe that Sasha may be a Bombay mix because of her round face, sleek appearance, and easy-going disposition. Sasha loves attention and would be a great companion or emotional support cat. She has a very easy-going personality and loves to be with people. She meets you at the door, loves to cuddle, loves to play, and loves to climb high on the climber and spend time looking out the window, Her favorite toys are toy mice and the ever-popular  krinkle ball. She gets along great with cats, but as mentioned earlier, she is just not a fan of dogs, but she shouldn't have to die because of it..Sasha is ready to go home with an approved application. She is dewormed, up-to-date on her FVRCP and rabies vaccines, spayed, combo tested negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration.  Ready to bring this sweet girl home?
