Story
Meet Yubi, a charming one-year-old black cat looking for a new home filled with love and care. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to provide the attention and healthcare he deserves. Yubi is currently in good health and hasn't experienced any illnesses or health issues. While he does not require ongoing care at the moment, we are seeking an owner who can afford health insurance to ensure he receives the necessary veterinary care as he grows older. Yubi is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys exploring. An ideal home would be one that allows him some outdoor time every day. He has a special fondness for canned food, and it's sure to bring a smile to his face. Yubi is an absolute sweetheart! He loves spending time with people, and his affectionate nature will win your heart. He is known to get along well with people and other animals, and his friendly demeanor makes him a joy to be around.

Wini's mom was a stray that I found while pregnant, I brought her into my home after hearing the trauma she had endured. 3 days later, she gave birth in my bed to 4 beautiful kitten. Wini is sweet, playful, loves to cuddle, and loves boxes. She is litter trained, great with our dog and kids. She has no special needs and would be a great addition to any family! Story
Cats are known for being independent, but it seems "Tuna" missed the memo. Likely a bombay mix, she craves human company and even ventures into Velcro cat territory as shown in the video. 6 mos old "Tuna" is happy to cuddle with you and bring joy to your life. She is all you could want in a feline companion...affectionate, gently playful, curious and a delight to pet her velvet black coat! She is quite the talker, especially at meal time where she inhales her canned food...a common trait of cats who spent time surviving on the streets and not knowing where their next meal was coming from. She needs a young active kitty companion who enjoys games of pounce and chase in her forever home. . Meet her in Falls Church, VA Updated 10/20/23 ** Did you know that black cats are half as likely to be adopted as other colors and are considered to be the underdog of the cat world? Give Tuna a chance and she will prove what a loving companion she can be!**

Story
Echo is smart, playful, and snuggly! His favorite game is playing fetch with his toy mice and foster mom. Echo has an easy going personality that is sometimes goofy, and will definitely make you smile! He's shy with new people, but warms up quickly, and then will be your best friend. Echo loves other cats, especially his brother, Conrad, who he loves to groom, play and snuggle with. If he’s lit sleeping with his favorite person, he can be found with his brother. Echo was born in May of 2023. Since Echo is bonded to his brother Conrad and we would like them to be adopted together.  We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://rappcats.org/adoptions/ Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. December 7, 2023, 3:09 pm

Story
Midnight's big round eyes shine bright in contrast to her sleek, all-black fur. She's a beauty!  She's friendly, welcomes your attention, and is affectionate. She's also always happy to play and she'd love a companion to keep her company. She's past the crazy kitten stage but still has plenty of young energy. She was born in October of 2021. Our application can be downloaded at https://rappcats.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Adoption-Application-v20210422.pdf.  We can usually complete an adoption within 2 business days after we receive your application.   We require a vet or personal reference and will conduct a home visit. Our standard adoption fee of $150 offsets the costs of medical services and supplies so our cats are healthy and ready for adoption.  If two cats are adopted, the adoption fee for the second can be lowered or waived.  RappCats is a non-profit organization that helps stray, abused, abandoned and unowned cats in Rappahannock County. We are strictly no-kill. If they are old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered. We are also in constant need of foster homes to care for cats awaiting adoption. For more information or to adopt, call or text us at 540.987.6050 or email us adopt@rappcats.org. Story
Middy is a beautiful cat with super plush fur that feels like velvet.  Middy is used to being in a home and will bond deeply with whoever adopts her. She is a quiet girl who's low maintenance. When she has something to say, she'll surprise you with the cutest little squeak/chirp that seems like it should be coming from a kitten. She loves to snuggle and is a definite lap cat! She gets along with the other cats and seems to defer to them - she's not dominant at all. Middy was born in 2013.   We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://rappcats.org/adoptions/ Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day.
