Story
Harris came into my life after a period of serving shelter dogs while living in New Mexico. After 7 years as my Alabama dog, Harris has grown to love fetch, hiking, evening walks, playing with other dogs, and cuddling up on the couch. Curious, affectionate, patient and calm are the primary words that describe Harris. Harris interacts with cats and dogs quite well, as well as children who can calmly approach and respect him. However, Harris' main flaw can be characterized through his severe separation anxiety, which has been weighing on our family and home/ Unfortunately, our family has come to a point where Harris would be better served by a home that can provide him the attention and love he deserves.

Story
Atticus is a handsome heart throb with movie star looks! He has striking white and black coat with a unique wave as well as one blue eye that turns heads everywhere he goes. He wants you to know though, he is more than just a pretty face! He knows all the tricks already and has a great playful energy. He does sit, stay, shake, down, and roll over (as pictured in his camera roll). He walks well on leash, but might need some help overcoming how scary cars are. Atticus loves to play, explore, and keep everyone smiling with his goofy personality. Whether he’s bouncing around with toys, making new friends, or soaking up attention, he’s always ready to brighten your day. His fosters for pawildays have reported he is a great snuggler! While he is happy to do all the adventuring you want, he is perfectly content laying by your side while watching TV as well.

Story
Meet Manny — the brave little heart with the sweetest soul. When Manny first arrived on October 16, 2025, the world felt like a very big and scary place. People were unfamiliar, and everything around him was new. But with time, patience, and lots of love, Manny has started to blossom into a wonderful boy. Manny may take a moment to warm up, but once he trusts you, his gentle and loving personality shines through. Watching him gain confidence has been such a joy. Every small victory — a tail wag, a curious sniff, a happy trot — has shown just how far he has come. Manny finds comfort in his best friend Rudy, and together they make the perfect team. Manny is looking for a patient, loving home that will continue to cheer him on as he grows braver every day. With kindness and understanding, Manny will reward his people with the sweetest loyalty and love.

Story
Reno is so very sweet and has been raised around children, other dogs, is active as most puppies are but he is a mixture of herding breed with lots of energy and poodle, both being very smart so he's willing to learn. He is not an alpha dog, he's pretty submissive and knows when to back down if someone doesn't want to play with him. He walks well on a leash, will pull a bit but will stop if you tell him to and walk more calmly. He needs another dog his size (medium size or larger) to play with and a privacy fence to run and potty in.However, he's actually an old soul in a puppy body since he was raised with old dogs and doesn't really seem like he wants to play. The boarding facility says he comes out of his kennel to go potty then wants to go right back into his kennel So I guess he doesn't require another dog to play with in actuality and would probably be a fine apartment dog as long as he was taken for walks for exercise and potty. He is house and crate trained but doesn't need to be crated all day, if at all possible. He is still a puppy so he could chew if very bored. Distraction is necessary, along with toys. He's fully vetted. You must have a recent vet reference listed on the application and your dogs must be altered, up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. I do contact your vet for the reference so the telephone number is necessary on the application. He is not a first time dog owner type dog. He requires a lot of grooming so a groomer is a requirement and he needs grooming now. He was born 12/25. He doesn't mind cats. He's maybe 40# right now and growing. He is not hypoallergenic. His adoption fee is $300 Apply online at MadisonARF.org
