Story
Meet Trooper! He is truly a Trooper! This poor baby was hit by a car at 6 months old and after multiple opinions from multiple vets we knew we had to have his leg amputated. It hasn't phased him but it was a rough recovery for this active little guy. He knew the vet's office and staff as well as his foster mom and home for the first couple months! He is 100% healed, neutered, up to date on all shots, chipped, and ready for his FURever home. He is a border/aussie mix and therefore high energy. He runs like the wind and tries to herd all his foster brothers and sisters (some tolerate that better than others). He loves everyone and everything but has not been around cats. I think he would be fine with them once he learns but would need to be tested. Trooper is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and anyone interested would need to bring their other fur-babies (if possible) to meet him to ensure everyone gets along and it is a good fit for all. If you are interested in Trooper please fill out a non-binding application at forrescue.net/dog-application

Bruce is a sweetheart! This gentle boy was adopted from A New Leash on Life as a puppy, and he recently found himself homeless again when his family had to move. We want Bruce's next home to be his forever home, and he wants that too! He is gentle and smart. He gets along with both dogs and cats. He walks well on a leash, and he's also dog door trained! His mom is a Border Collie mix and he looks like daddy may have had some Bluetick Hound in him :) Bruce, let us know by clicking on his adoption link! Story
Rana was found as a tiny little stray puppy who is growing daily, playing with the bigger dogs in the Foster home, thinking she's a large as they are. She's working on her house training and doing well with it according to her Foster parents and going ninety to nothing until she just drops, as most puppies do.She's apparently a herding dog blend, so whomever applies for her must have experience/knowledge of the herding instinct and know that it cannot be trained out of a dog and that they are going to herd whatever/whomever they can and must have a securely fenced yard where they can do just that, plus do their potty and play.Another dog who's playful and submissive is a must also, but not a dog under 25 lbs, as she's going to be around that size, probably. She's full of energy and VERY bossy. Apply at Madisonarf.org

Princess is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is altered. She loves playing with other dogs and is house trained. Princess is desperately trying to find a new loving home with a family that she can call her own.

Story
Bailey was discovered wandering alone, with no one coming forward to claim her, ultimately leading her to become a cherished member of the Fraternity. Presently, Bailey is lovingly fostered by the family who found her, integrating seamlessly into their home. She's an exceptionally gentle soul, harmoniously coexisting with the family's other pets, including cats and dogs. Bailey is swiftly mastering the art of indicating when she needs to venture outside for a bathroom break and is making great strides in her crate training regimen. Unfortunately, Bailey, like many dogs, suffers from an allergy to fleas, which resulted in significant loss of fur on her back. However, after a visit to the veterinarian and starting treatment with Nexguard, her fur is now rejuvenating and filling in splendidly! Bailey is eagerly awaiting her forever home and is currently up for adoption. Additionally, we offer a unique foster-to-adopt option for those looking to slowly transition into pet ownership. Should you have any inquiries or wish to arrange a meeting with Bailey, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email.
