I adopted BamBam almost four years ago, and he is a very sweet dog, he is four years old and has an energetic, loving personality! He has had some issues with resourcing guarding me, his owner, and I think he would do better in a new home. It would be best for him to live in a single person house hold where he would be the only pet and could have plenty of attention from his owner. Right now, though, she prefers taking life in the slow lane. The shelter can feel a little overwhelming, and on walks she may tuck her tail and need a few pit stops for pets, encouragement, and reassurance. Once she gets away from all the noise, she starts to relax and show you just how loving she really is.When Miata gets scared, she doesn't want to run away—she wants to get closer to you. She'll try to crawl right into your lap for cuddles and comfort. At 45 pounds, she might be a little big for a lap dog, but Miata is convinced she fits perfectly, and we're not going to be the ones to tell her otherwise.In the yard, Miata likes to slowly cruise around with her nose to the ground, taking in all the interesting smells. Meet Stan 🐾 Stan is a 2-year-old Border Collie who came to us from Kern County Shelter with a broken tibia and fibula, likely from being hit by a car. The day he arrived, we took radiographs, confirmed the severity of the break, and our doctors put together a game plan. On 8/20 he had surgery to place a plate and stabilize the fractures. He's officially on the road to recovery. The best patient we've ever had. Through all of it, Stan has been nothing but sweet. This boy wags his tail every single time you tell him he's handsome (and he is). He goes to his bed when you tell him to. He loves his toys and his puppy ice cream cups. He's the kind of dog that makes you wonder how he ended up anywhere but a loving home. What to know about Stan: Currently recovering from surgery and will be available once he's fully healed Incredibly well-behaved, knows commands and listens beautifully Lives for compliments, seriously, tell him he's handsome and watch that tail go His dream home? A farm or property where he can run and do Border Collie things, but also come inside and lounge with his people Stan's been through a lot, but he's never stopped wagging.
