Story
Meet Bailey, an adult canine resident of our shelter. Bailey's personality shines through her mellow and sweet demeanor. She's a gentle soul who enjoys her own company, making her an independent companion. Bailey can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, her loyalty knows no bounds. She's mastered the art of enjoying simple pleasures in life, like a good nap or a leisurely walk. Her calm and serene nature is a soothing presence in any home. Adopting Bailey means inviting a well of patience and love into your life. Her years of wisdom make her an ideal pet for those seeking a mature, loving companion. Bailey has some chronic medical conditions that will likely require lifelong care. Because of this and her shy nature, we recommend that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her needs. She may do well with other calm dogs in her new home after a slow introduction.Adoption fee: WaivedMonthly Promotion Applies

Story
I adopted shadow from my prior roommate he was with my roommates sister, and she neglected him. He was kept outside with only one toy, his whole life. He is a very good boy very smart and he knows his commands like sit, down, and, stay. He is a forever puppy. He might be gray, but he is full of energy and loves to be loved 24/7. Shadow needs someone who can give him the exercise toys and love he deserves. I have given him the best life I can with the small apartment and amount of time I have. He is a couch potato and loves his treats and toys. But he needs more space to be free and someone who has the time and energy he deserves. He has not been socialized with other dogs therefore, he has bitten some dogs that I have tried to let him meet. He will bark at stranger but loves all people. Some tall men scare him, but he will get over it once he meets them. The last thing I want to do is give him up, but I am young and not planning on staying where I am at plus he needs more.

(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

To apply or see more of Aisha, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/6/aisha Adoptable Aisha has been overlooked for far too long! Rescued at 5-6 months old from Bradshaw shelter last fall, she is about 1 year old now and SO ready to find her forever home. We think she’s definitely got border collie in there and she’s very petite. She lives with dogs, chickens, has excellent on leash and off leash skills, house-trained and crate trained. While she can play play play, she can also relax and has been absolute perfection at adoption events. Her story below: Hey! I'm Aisha, a sweet and gentle 1 year old border collie/whippet (or at least that's the humans’ best guess about my mix). I’m 54 lbs and full grown. I was rescued from the Bradshaw Animal Shelter, found as a stray with my four siblings. Life before that is a bit of a mystery, but one thing's for sure – my future will be filled with better days! I'm good with dogs, and you know what? I might even do best in a home with a dog friend. Oh and get this! Running is one of my favorite activities, so if you need a jogging buddy, count me in! I'm currently living with three other dogs, and guess what? I'm good with chickens! With a slow introduction, I might even do well with cats. $250 Adoption Donation includes: Spay, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Aisha is currently being fostered in GARDEN VALLEY, CA. DOB around 4/5/2023 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! He currently lives with a special needs foster brother (dog) and they get along well. Monk is being fostered in VACAVILLE, CA Estimated DOB: 12/1/2023 $450 adoption donation includes includes age-appropriate shots, microchip with free lifetime registry, deworming, flea preventative, and spay/neuter agreement addendum Ideal home will: Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs. Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training. Preference to homes w/ friendly & well-trained dog role models (preference, NOT required) Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. Story
MEET BUBBA - Bubba is the most grateful and loving little guy for being dumped out of a vehicle on an old country rd at the bridge (picture of Bubba behind the bramble) a passerby got the photo. The folks on the hill could hear Bubbas cries all night that first night. He wouldn’t let himself be caught though. We got the call to help and set up traps and tracked him for a couple weeks before he was finally brought safely to the rescue. It boggles the mind how humans can do this to these innocent furkids. Bubba has been an absolute joy to have around. He’s sweet, loves kids and just wants to follow his people around the farm. He’s a very good boy and will be grateful to be someone’s loyal companion. We dont know if he’s working dog material. He’s good around our livestock but he doesn’t seem like he’s familiar with the working dog part, he prefers to observe and has been taking it all in. Bubba appears to be full blue heeler and has the nub tail. Bubba is nervous around new dogs until he gets to know them. Bubba has been recently neutered, is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you believe Bubba is your love match, please email us with a little information about yourselves and how Bubba would spend his days with you, to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you - Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.
