Story
Life is so exciting! Hi! I’m Hobbs. I love to run and play. If I get overly excited, “calm” helps me. I’ve learned that one pretty well. I like to be close, napping next to your chair, sometimes on your feet. I have found the couch is a nice place for a nap too. I didn’t used to feel comfortable on furniture. Movie nights changed that. Plus I can see out the window from the couch, which I love. I'd do best in a home with older children. General Socialization Notes: I am super smart. Very sensitive too. I learn quickly and am eager to please. I don’t need to be kenneled. I won’t chew your shoes. If I’m really stressed, I might chew up some of my toys. I’ll bring you any squeakers I pull out in exchange for a treat. I like to be reassured that I’m okay, a good boy, and that you love me. I’m really not good on leash yet, but getting better. I’ve been practicing in a big area without distractions to improve my focus. I’m not ready to walk around other dogs, people or especially rabbits yet. I need to keep working on that. I get overly excited in the car and kind of loud at first. I settle down pretty quickly with reassurance. We have learned that I get anxious and don’t listen well when I’m hungry. If I seem like I’m stressed about nothing, it’s probably an empty tummy. Does Hobbs like other animals? I’ve been living with 2 older dogs about my size. I love to play with them. I can be too playful sometimes, since they’re older, but I’m getting much better at listening to them. Small dogs might not be good because I guess I play a bit rough. No cats please. Does Hobbs like children? I think I would love children who are not too little. Maybe teenagers or near teens. Someone to play with me. I live with a disabled young man and I have learned how to be very careful and gentle with him. I even let mom know when he needs her. Favorite Toys: I like a variety of toys. A tug toy, something I can shake if you’re not in a tug mood. Stuffed toys don’t last long. Squeaker balls are my favorite. I’ll put them right in your lap so you can toss them across the room for me. That’s my favorite game. I love to leap up and catch them. I’m really very good at it. If the other dogs want to play too, I have even learned to take turns. Ideal Forever Home: My ideal forever home is one with a pretty big yard and some indoor floor space to play too. I’d love a dog around my size and age who will play with me. I would also be fine as your only dog. I do like getting all of the attention. A 6 foot privacy fence is a must. My foster mom’s yard is in the back, away from people and dogs walking by. That’s really perfect for me. Nothing too close to protect you from. Oh… I am protective and will tell you if there are intruders about. I’ve learned which noises are not a concern and which ones need my attention. Delivery trucks are very suspicious. They need to be watched very closely. If they stop close by, I will let you know. If you’re looking for a best friend who is smart, sweet, loyal, and playful, I’m your guy!

Story
My current Mom tells me I am a stunning Border Collie/German Shepherd mix with the brains, heart, and energy to match my good looks. I am full of playful energy but already showing the loyalty and intelligence of my working dog breeds. I love snuggling, playing and being joyful. I am also VERY intuitive and I will come to you when you are anxious and upset and will put my paw on you or lay next to you to calm you. I am very good with young children. I do need time meeting new people so I need patience. General Socialization Notes: I would love to train with my humans! I am learning to tolerate loud noises (vacuum) and things that move quickly. Also, I do jump on you when you return home so I'll need to work on that. I'm smart and I am treat motivated! I am a bit unsure with new people so I need time to warm up. Does Milo like other animals? I may do best as an only dog or may do well with a calm dog. Does Milo like children? I do very well with young children. I can be very gentle but I have been known to 'herd' them so I'd need humans that understand that. Favorite Toys: I love steak bones, tug-of-war, chasing small balls around the floor, and my stuffy toys. Ideal Forever Home: I'd do best in a home where my humans are willing to train with me. I'd also love to be in a family that likes adventures. I am a higher energy pup so I need outlets for my energy. I'd be fine as an only dog where I can get all the cuddles and snuggles.

****FOSTER NEEDED!**** I love the outdoors and soaking up the sun! Hey there! I'm Journey, and I'm a happy, energetic dog who loves the outdoors. There's nothing better than lounging in the sun, soaking up the warmth, and chasing squirrels around the yard (they can be tricky!). I'm at my happiest when I'm with my people, and I'd love a home with a big backyard where I can stretch my legs. I may do best in a home as an only dog so I can get all the love. General Socialization Notes: I'm a social pup who enjoys meeting new people! I have a blast playing fetch, tug-of-war with ropes, and hunting for hidden treats in the house! I'm pretty good on my leash, but if I spot another animal, I can get a little excited. I'm well-behaved inside, but when I'm outside, the world can be a bit distracting for me. I'd need a family that is willing to work on that with me. Does Journey like other animals? I think I'd thrive in a home with no other animals, where I can have a big yard to call my own. I am not sure about cats since I haven't met any. Does Journey like children? Yes, I lived in a home with children, older and younger, and did well with them. I was always very gentle. Favorite Toys: I love all toys and especially love playing fetch!! Ideal Forever Home: I'd love a home where I can have a big yard to call my own and plenty of toys to keep me entertained. I'd do best in a home as an only dog. I also want to work on feeling more comfortable when seeing other dogs while I'm out walking. I'm ready to join a family that will love me and take me on lots of adventures!

Story
A best friend like no other! I am a sweet, contemplative boy! From hiking to staying cozy inside, I’m in, as long as you’re with me. I love to work, be challenged and do tricks, snacks are my favorite part of the day (especially dog-safe peanut butter)! I’m a great listener and love to learn words and make you laugh. I’m an independent boy, but welcome morning cuddles and pets. Tug of war is my favorite game, see if you can beat me! I need a family that is active and goes on adventures. I'd do best in a home with no children, and no cats. General Socialization Notes: I am a bit uncomfortable being approached by new people on leash, in the car, in home, etc. Warming up to new people ( especially men) can be a challenge for me. I need to go at my own pace to feel comfortable. Does Finn like other animals? I like some other dogs, but not cats. But I may do best as an only dog. Does Finn like children? I would prefer a home with no children. Favorite Toys: I love chew bones (big chewer!) (must be very durable.) I also enjoy tug of war toys. Ideal Forever Home: I'd love someone active who goes to new places. I love to explore! I would need someone that has experience with dogs and will respect my space and give me time. A home with no cats and no children would be best. I'd probably prefer no other dogs.

Story
Alexa play Mission Impossible  The name's Turbo, but you can call me BoBo for short. I'm 1 years old, part Husky, part Border Collie and part super handsome, super spy You think Tom Cruise is a looker? Well my foster mom says I could give him a run for his money Dont worry, I'm not all looks. I'm also incredibly smart and a gentle giant.  Basic commands like "sit", "down", "out" and "potty". Potty training Car rides Playing with cats, dogs and adults Staying off of couches and beds unless invited  Need to escape a kennel or scale a window and play in the snow? I'm your man! I'm not big on being couped up, but I'm sure with some reinforecement, I'd consider it. I actually really love having my own space, and sleep through the night on my foster mom's couch.  Ideally my new partners in crime would work from home so that we can fight crime together! And I'll need a nice backyard with high fences to practice my karate!  Like any spy, I do have a cryptonite...cheese and belly rubs   If you'd like to fight crime with me, send in your applications! - Agent Turbo If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt ##2596165##
