Story
It absolutely tears us apart to write this post.Veil is a sweet, intelligent, and loving Border Collie who thrives with attention, outdoor time, and companionship. She is active and emotionally connected to her people, and would do best with owners familiar with herding breeds and their needs.Veil will only be placed in a home with a securely fenced yard or property/land where she can safely run and play. Experience with Border Collies or other herding breeds is highly preferred. She can be selective with other dogs and may need slow introductions, but with patience and time she can become comfortable.Veil has been raised with Jasper, another Border Collie, and they are very bonded. We would greatly prefer a home willing to keep them together, but we also completely understand if you can’t take them both. She received her puppy vaccinations and has been very healthy overall.Located in Ponderay, ID

Story
Jasper is a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate Border Collie looking for a loving new home. He’s happiest outdoors exploring, playing, or relaxing near his people. Like most Border Collies, he is energetic, observant, and thrives with both mental and physical activity.Jasper will only be placed in a home with a securely fenced yard or property/land where he can safely exercise. Experience with Border Collies or other herding breeds is strongly preferred. He has been raised alongside Veil, another Border Collie, and they are extremely bonded. We would strongly prefer a home willing to keep them together, but we completely understand if you cannot take them both. Jasper received his puppy vaccinations and has been very healthy overall. This has been an incredibly difficult decision due to major life and housing changes, and we are committed to finding him the best possible forever home.

Story
After a lot of thought and consideration, we have decided to begin exploring other options for our dog, Baloo. We adopted him last June and he has been the sweetest addition to our family. He has been beyond spoiled since moving in with us and loves to snuggle with our daughter. He completed some training at Sit Means Sit and has made a lot of progress. He still needs a lot of work on his leash training and can be very reactive. He can also be hesitant of new people. He loves a good car ride and playing in the yard. His previous owner said he lived with a cat and they got along well. We currently have a bunny and Baloo was curious at first and has since became close.Baloo is the perfect match for an active home looking for a joyful, playful companion. He loves to play guard dog and always lets us know when someone is at the door. This is such a tough decision, however, our current family situation has changed and we are looking for a wonderful family to take him on.

Story
Texas Tornado has opened applications for a new leash holder. Inquire within.  Well folks, Texas Tornado, the deaf, white border collie, with an estimated birthdate of 09/23/2023 and weight of 40lbs is here to display what it would be like if that last sniff of c0caine became sentient and chugged a monster.  Let's start with the cons. She's bad a$$ so there's only a few.  DEAF. Big Deaf. No sounds entering the brain. Only vibes.  Not cat and critter safe.  Has a big space bubble when in drive and will be quite stern about correcting other dogs. Doesn't escalate to fighting.  Has to be tethered in the car.  Now for the pros. Buckle in. High ball and prey drive.  Crate, leash, house, car trained. (Rides tethered in the car)  Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed.  Clear and positive social skills with dogs and kids.  Knows basic commands with hand signals. Sit, stay/wait, come, good etc.  Off lead reliable in rural settings.  Comes with an AKC Canine Partners number to be able to participate in AKC sanctioned dogsport trials.  Started on primaries in nosework and is VERY SUITED to the work.  Ran a 2.2 mile two dog bikejor in 13:50 on her first ever attempt. 4th place in trial.  Completed 2/2 lure courses at her first coursing trial and only needs 1 more successful course to earn her CA (Coursing Ability) title.  Excellent mountain biking companion, effortlessly running 15-20 miles in one sitting.  Non destructive in the home, safe to be left crated or loose in the day or night.  Lovely, intense natural herding aptitude. Could work as a functional cattle dog with a handler able to train with a low level ecollar or vibrational collar.  Capable of much, much more than has already been done with her. She is sure to excel at any task or activity involving speed, dexterity, and intelligence.  Adoption fee is 2øø and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership.  Remember- With great power comes great responsibility. Don't adopt the Ferrari when you can only drive a Honda Accord. This dog means business. Texas Tornado, AKA Tex, is eligible to be transported anywhere in the USA or Canada to a future handler who will give her an active and involved life like she has now. She would be happy with a sport or working life, or as an active pet to a family who will let her be included for major adventures like biking, backpacking, ultra running etc. There's simply too many good things to say about her and she deserves the absolute best future. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  ##2532720##

Story
Meet Sweet Pea!   This sweet senior lady came to the Mission as an owner surrender, to no fault of her own. She's got an estimated birthdate of 04/14/2014, and would absolutely love a place to live out her retirement with peace, happiness, and a loving family.   Sweet Pea has found herself on the majorly chunky side, but lucky for her, we are already helping her by reducing her calories and encouraging movement. We must insist for her longevity and comfort that she remain on an appropriate diet for her golden years - we don't want to add to any other aches and pains she may have!   She's a real winner in the social department- she's good with cats, dogs, and kids. She will come to you with her plethora of toys and a heart ready to love and share with you.   Her adoption fee is waived, and she comes spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. She will come with her medical records and a sample of her food. To begin the adoption process, please begin by submitting an application at www.murcismission.org.  ##2735760##
