Story
Rex is an energetic and intelligent Border Collie looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit. True to his breed, he's smart, athletic, and loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. He enjoys walks/runs & playtime. Rex is potty trained, though he may have an occasional accident when he gets overly excited. He can be vocal and alert, often barking at new sights and sounds. He is also very mouthy when seeking attention, which is a common herding breed trait. But because this can be misunderstood as biting, we recommend a home without young children. Rex also gets along well with most dogs, especially female dogs. He would benefit from a slow introduction to any resident male dogs. He is currently recovering from a pelvic injury and still has a slight limp from time to time, though it has improved significantly. Rex would thrive with an experienced owner who understands Border Collie traits and can provide plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. In return, you'll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who's ready for his next adventure! If you are interested in meeting Rex, please contact his foster parent via TEXT: Nichol 808-419-1495

Story
We have had this little lady for almost 3 years. She was born in October 2017 from the information that we have. Before we got her, she had gotten out during a storm and had injured her front leg. She sometimes has a limp with this leg. Our vet said there's no treatment for it as it wasn't broken. She has some baseline anxiety that her previous owner, who passed away which is why we adopted her, thought stemmed from her escaping and getting hit by a truck. She has anxiety when she hears what she thinks is a truck in our neighborhood and tries to hide from fear. She needs a tall fenced-in-yard or needs to go outside on a leash. We have not found that she is off leash capable. She's a very sweet girl that our other border collie does not get along with as they were both alpha dogs/only dogs before they were brought into our family. She is current on all vaccines. We have her seen yearly at our vet. I have all her records too. We would love to keep her, but our two dogs don’t get along.

Ollie is fostered in Snohomish and eligible for adoption anywhere!  Welcome Ollie to Murci's Mission. This fine sporting mix came to Murci's Mission from our friends at Becky's Best Buddies. He is approximately 55lbs with an estimated birthdate of 12/07/2024.  Ollie is social to dogs and kids with a biddable disposition. He is too over the top with cats. He is high energy and would love an active family who enjoys running or hiking, or an adopter interested in sports like agility, flyball, dock diving, barn hunt, nose work etc. He has nice foundational obedience like sit, stay, place, down, kennel etc and is eager to work together to learn even more.  Ollie is crate trained and can settle down well in the house for movie night or board games. He's an all around good boy with a ton of potential.  Please begin by submitting an application at www.murcismission.org. Ollie's adoption fee is $200, and he comes home fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered. He will also come with a leash, collar, ID tag, and a food sample.  Thanks for checking out our guy!  ##2636145##

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet Meet Bear, the dashing 2-year-old Border Collie who’s here to steal your heart! At 40 pounds of pure charm and energy, this handsome boy knows how to make an entrance. 🐾 With his shiny black coat and bright eyes, Bear is not just a pretty face; he’s also a super-smart pup who’s ready to become your loyal sidekick! Now, let’s talk about Bear’s personality. He might be a little shy at first, but give him a moment to get comfortable, and you’ll find that he transforms into a loving and devoted companion. Once Bear trusts you, you’ll discover a friend for life who’s as loyal as they come. 💖 He thrives on routine and forms deep connections with his loved ones, making him the perfect partner for anyone looking for an emotional bond. If you have experience with smart, driven dogs and can offer Bear that peaceful retreat, he will absolutely flourish with your guidance. And let’s not forget his playful side! Bear loves playing ball and is highly food motivated, which means training sessions are bound to be a blast! 🎾 Bear can be dog selective, and with the right match, we would be a playful canine companion for the right existing furbaby. Bear is already neutered and gets along wonderfully with children, making him a great fit for families. Just a heads-up, though—he doesn’t vibe well with cats, so those furry felines will need to stay elsewhere. If you think you can offer Bear the loving, single-pet home he deserves, then he may just be the perfect match for you! This sweet boy is currently in a foster home, eagerly waiting for his forever family to come along. If you’re ready to take on the rewarding journey of adopting Bear, don’t hesitate to reach out! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet

Story
Meet Bumper!  Hey there! My name is Bumper, which is fitting considering I am about to bump my way right into your heart. It has been said that I am the easiest going pup you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. Dogs? Good. Cats? Good. Kids? Good. You send them my way, and I will make a friend out of them! I have just begun the process of house training, which should be a breeze given my calm and sweet nature. I have already become a certified pro in winding down in my crate but am still in the beginning stages of leash walking. I don’t like to brag, but my current foster human says there is not a single environment that I wouldn’t thrive in. If I sound like the type of dog you could call family then reach out today! We are currently taking applications for Bumper, who will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery.   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process?   Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days.   Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!).   Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process.   Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters).   Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time.   Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member!   Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue   Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.    Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.    Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.   About Path of Hope Rescue   At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.   We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.   Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.    Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   Bumper is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area!
