Story
Rex is an energetic and intelligent Border Collie looking for an active home that can keep up with his adventurous spirit. True to his breed, he's smart, athletic, and loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. He enjoys walks/runs & playtime. Rex is potty trained, though he may have an occasional accident when he gets overly excited. He can be vocal and alert, often barking at new sights and sounds. He is also very mouthy when seeking attention, which is a common herding breed trait. But because this can be misunderstood as biting, we recommend a home without young children. Rex also gets along well with most dogs, especially female dogs. He would benefit from a slow introduction to any resident male dogs. He is currently recovering from a pelvic injury and still has a slight limp from time to time, though it has improved significantly. Rex would thrive with an experienced owner who understands Border Collie traits and can provide plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. In return, you'll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who's ready for his next adventure! If you are interested in meeting Rex, please contact his foster parent via TEXT: Nichol 808-419-1495

Story
Meet Turbo! Hi there! My name is Turbo and the name matches my reputation. I only have one speed and that speed is GO! In my energetic youth I’ve discovered a deep love of all things zoomie-related. This hobby has led to developing a dog-friendly personality and has me aching for a furever home with a brother or sister to play with. I have not been tested with cats yet, but with the proper introduction any friendship is possible. When I’m not zooming around, I enjoy having my human zoom for me; I love car rides! Don’t let my playful nature deter you though, I’ve put in an exceptional amount of work in obedience training on the side. You’re looking at a master of sitting down, a professional leash walker, and current student of the art of “laying down.” I won’t lie, I learn best with the treat method, but the result will be worth it for my future family. I’m not all play and work though, I also LOVE human contact and attention and I’m a professional cuddler as well! So, if this sounds like the perfect mix of professionalism and play to you, fill out an application and let’s cruise this life together! We are currently taking applications for Turbo, who will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery. Turbo is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process?   Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days.   Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!).   Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process.   Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters).   Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time.   Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member!   Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue   Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.    Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.    Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.   About Path of Hope Rescue   At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.   We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.   Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.    Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2740679##

Story
Meet Bumper!  Hey there! My name is Bumper, which is fitting considering I am about to bump my way right into your heart. It has been said that I am the easiest going pup you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. Dogs? Good. Cats? Good. Kids? Good. You send them my way, and I will make a friend out of them! I have just begun the process of house training, which should be a breeze given my calm and sweet nature. I have already become a certified pro in winding down in my crate but am still in the beginning stages of leash walking. I don’t like to brag, but my current foster human says there is not a single environment that I wouldn’t thrive in. If I sound like the type of dog you could call family then reach out today! We are currently taking applications for Bumper, who will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery.   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process?   Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days.   Begin by completing the online application. Story
Meet Bluey, a purebred AKC-registered Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler looking for a loving new home. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old in 2021, and he has grown up wonderfully around our boys, who were 4 and 5 when we brought him home. Bluey is about 70 lbs, larger than average for his breed, with a big heart and a bubbly, happy personality. He loves people, cuddling, giving kisses, playing fetch, going on walks, and relaxing with his family when playtime is over. He is friendly with strangers and wants to be everyone's best friend. Bluey would do best with an active owner, a family with kids, or a home with acreage where he can run, play, and get plenty of love. He likes being the center of attention and should be the only dog in the home, as he can be uneasy around other dogs. He might do well with other heelers, but we have not tested that. He does NOT do well with cats. Bluey is a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be loved, included, and part of one family.
