We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2302514##

Meet Vulcan – The Lovable God of Fire and Snuggles Born on February 16, 2025, Vulcan may be named after the Roman god of fire and forge, but don’t worry—he’s more about warm hearts than hot tempers! This sweet, loving, and playful pup is ready to melt his way into your family. Vulcan is a social butterfly who adores wrestling with his doggy pals, but he’s also just as happy to chill out with a good bone. When the day winds down, his favorite spot in the world is curled up on your lap, drifting off to sleep after a day full of love and play. He’s great with kids, friendly with other dogs, and young enough to learn the ropes with cat siblings too. Vulcan is looking for a forever home that will give him plenty of love, attention, and fun adventures—he’s already a fan of traveling with his people and even had a blast hanging out at the ice rink! If you're ready for a pup who brings the perfect balance of energy, affection, and companionship, Vulcan is ready to light up your life. Sweet and snuggly, Pax (a cattle dog/husky mix who we estimate will be a medium-sized adult dog) has black and white medium length fur and floppy ears. Pax is brand new to our rescue and settling into a foster home where she will begin potty, crate,  leash, and obedience training. We will be learning more about Pax in the coming days, so please check back for more information! Story
Meet Mercury – A Little Goddess in the Making! Born on February 16, 2025, Mercury is a fearless, sassy, and sweet-natured girl named after the Roman god of speed and wit — and she lives up to the name in every way! Mercury is a smart and adventurous pup who loves romping around the yard with her brother, scaling anything she can climb, and chasing the wind just for fun. Whether she’s playing hard or soaking up the world from her favorite spot on the deck, this girl brings joy wherever she goes. She sleeps soundly through the night and is already crate trained. Mercury is making great progress with potty training and is highly food-motivated, which makes continued training a breeze! She’s wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and kids. Mercury would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can zoom, explore, and sunbathe to her heart’s content. After a day of fun, she loves to unwind by observing nature — the world is her favorite show! If you’re looking for a brave, loving, and clever companion who’s full of personality and charm, Mercury is ready to rocket into your life and your heart. Want to meet Mercury? In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart.
