When meeting dogs, Meadow was very stiff, unsure, and clearly stressed, so she is looking for a home without canine companions. However, she did great with cats during her evaluation! We always recommend slow introductions, but we are confident she will do well in a home with feline friends. The shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for Meadow, and she’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, we believe this sweet girl will blossom into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a cat-friendly best friend who just needs someone to believe in her, Meadow may be the perfect match. ❤️ She will come up to date on her vaccinations spayed and microchipped! JASPER is a black Labrador retriever and border collie mix. He is playful boy who wouldnt pass up a good game of catch or jump for the stick! He loves jumping in creeks,rivers and ponds. And has camped overnight on many occasions. Why does he need a new home? Jasper is a sweet dog but unfortunately for me I have a hard time walking him around any other animals or male figures as he like to bark/scream while also pulling and panting extremely hard the second he sees them... and he wont stop. In fact if i say to calm it, calm it calm it, he indeed gets more riled up. Im sure someone can control his excitement and reactivity and would end up with the bestest friend ever.

If dogs have 9 lives, Arya has certainly gone through a few! This beautiful girl came to us nearly half her weight with every bone in her body sticking out, almost costing her life. She has gone through months of treatments and diagnostics to find the appropriate diagnosis and care, now she’s healthy and ready to go home! Arya suffers from EPI, basically her pancreas can’t produce enough enzymes for her to digest food. But with a simple powder in her prescription food, she’s able to eat like normal! Despite not feeling well for the first part of her stay with us, she’s always been a happy and wiggy girl. Arya always has a smile on her face and is ready to greet you! She’s been in a foster home with other dogs, doing well with everyone she meets. Arya loves people more than anything, and if you’re looking for a loving sidekick, she’s right here. Your new best friend, the smile to start your day- she’s all sunshine and rainbows waiting for you!

Buzz was found in Oklahoma chasing neighborhood cats with is pal Woody. This landed him in doggy jail! Once his stray hold was up he went right to the euthanasia list. The shelter is so crowded he was living in an outdoor kennel.. But that didnt break his spirit. He was transported last moment to Illinois and is starting a new chapter. So far we are told by fosters that Buzz is smart, affectionate and ready for adventure! They say his name suits him because he willing definitely love you from infinity to beyond! He absolutely loves people. He is going to make a family so happy! So dont wait, let that be you!!

Woody was saved from euthanasia at an Oklahoma shelter. He was originally found as a stray chasing cats with his pal Buzz. That landed him in doggy jail where he stayed in an outside kennel for weeks. A wonderful foster offered to help him when we learned he was scheduled to be put down. Now Woody is with a loving foster. He has been treated to his first pup cup and child's baseball game. Somehow Woody just fits! He really is a loving family member who wants to be with you no matter what. If you think you need some big love in your life Woody is definitely your guy, from infinity to beyond!

I’ve had Nash since he was 8weeks old, he is now almost 4. He has been trained and was doing extremely well, until we brought our baby home. He does great with older kids but babies has been a different story. He is very smart but has become jealous and acting out in the last year. Lots of counter surfing, eating cat poop and whatever he can get his paws on. He has done great in dog parks and around other dogs, unless they are on the other side of his fence. He is extremely good at telling you when he has to go outside or is hungry. One of his quirky things is he likes to stand on his back legs, it’s his favorite trick. He doesn’t like his paws being touched so clipping his nails doesn’t happen but he will bite them and do it himself.
