Meet Thistle! 🐾 Thistle is a 4-month-old Border Collie mix (best guess) weighing 17 lbs. This sweet and playful girl has the perfect mix of puppy fun and affectionate cuddles. Thistle loves following her people around, snuggling on the couch, and playing in the yard with other dogs. She especially enjoys chasing a ball, exploring outside, and digging through the toy bin to find her favorite soft toys and Nylabones. She has a medium energy level and would love a home where she can play, learn, and be included in family life. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but not required. She would likely do great with another playful dog, though she could also be happy as an only dog with plenty of attention. Thistle is crate trained and sleeps through the night. She is working on house training and making progress every day. She already knows sit, comes when called, and is a very smart puppy who learns quickly. She is great with other dogs, loves meeting new people, and has done well with elementary-aged children and older. She has not been around cats in foster care, but may do well with a dog-friendly cat. Thistle was found as a stray and came into rescue underweight, but she is thriving now and gaining weight beautifully with proper nutrition and care. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, playful puppy to grow with your family, Thistle may be the perfect match! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is just the best friend you could ask for.  He is a medium sized dog, probably around 40lbs now.  He loves everyone, great with dogs, loves kids, doesn't really even notice cats.  He does have lots of energy and will need a family who is able to give him a way to use it like long walks and lots of play time.  He is crate trained, learning basic commands, still perfecting housebreaking and how this leash thing works.  The reason he is taking more time to learn is that he is mostly deaf and blind.  He did have to have one eye removed and has limited sight out of his other eye, but he gets around just fine so he does have vision.  He also is mostly deaf but hears some loud, high pitched noises.  We have an amazing trainer who volunteered her time to work with him and will also help his new owner learn his commands and how to continue his training.  He really is such a sweet boy who just wants all the love.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, healthy, and ready to go.   His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2026, 11:25 am
