Story
We love Oliver, he is a wonderful dog who has lived with us since he was born. He was bred on a border collie farm in Wisconsin, a place known for its trained agility dogs. Oliver himself is a bit more tame and loves to play. He enjoys walks, car rides, playing fetch, and doing tricks for treats. He has lived with other dogs in his lifetime, a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. He enjoys playing with kids especially outside. He is mainly a very quiet dog, but has always barked to alert when someone comes home - excited/happy bark. He does sometimes jump to hug us, but knows quite a few commands like sit, lay, drop, and come. Unfortunately our family has gone a divorce and are splitting. We want to make sure he has a happy place to go and run around for his senior years/retirement.

Story
We have welcomed 'Quinn' to the Heart in Hand Family! We believe he is a Border Collie/Heeler Mix, about 4 years old. In such a short time, he has shown us what a little gentlemen he is! Seems friendly with everyone, submissive with other dogs, as he just wants to play! Seems ok around cats - he ignores them for the most part - unless they hiss and run then its 'tag your it' haha! He also seems good around other farm animals - doesn't pay attention to chickens or goats! He only wants to play with his doggies friends and be with a person. We need to work on leash training and basic commands which we started yesterday! He is very bright and has already started to get the gist of what we are asking from him! Just a wonderful lil' spirit! We just know he is going make such a wonderful addition to his new family! Quinn is UTD on vacinations, microchipped and neutered! https://www.heartinhandcrittersrescue.com If you are interested in meeting this sweet boy, please fill out our online adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/83004164874153

Meet Blitzen ❄️🐾Blitzen is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray and never reclaimed. This handsome boy weighs 34 pounds and is now looking for a dedicated, understanding home where he can continue to heal and thrive.Blitzen is currently emaciated, which means he will need an adopter who understands his special feeding needs. He should be separated during meals around other animals, and his new family should be comfortable following a structured feeding plan and providing patient, knowledgeable care as he regains strength.Despite his rough start, Blitzen is doing well with his kennel mate, showing that he can coexist with other dogs under the right circumstances. At this time, we don’t know how he does with cats, kids, or house and crate training, so a calm, experienced home would be ideal.Blitzen is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for a fresh start with someone who will give him the care, patience, and love he deserves.
