Story
Hela was the only of her litter that was born and raised outside to survive. She was taken in by The Ironwood Homestead and Sanctuary where she got a lot of exposure to other animals and gave birth to a litter of wonderful baby boys. She loves trying to herd the chickens and has a knack at finding old bones to chew on. She loves exploring outside and would do well with someone that also spends lots of time outside. She is great with other dogs, cats, goats, birds (chickens and larger). She knows a few tricks like sit, stay, up, spin, and paw but can be too excited or stubborn at times. She is VERY food motivated and loves to run around.

Story
🖤 Meet Shadow 🖤Shadow is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix with a loving heart and a playful personality. Through no fault of her own, Shadow has found herself back at the shelter after being returned for a second time. Her previous adopters cared about her, but ultimately realized they couldn’t provide the amount of space and structure she needs to thrive.Shadow is an affectionate girl who loves people and enjoys spending time with her family. She does well with children and gets along with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for the right home. However, she is not a fan of cats and would do best in a cat-free household.Because Shadow has some separation anxiety, she will need a home that understands her needs. She does best with plenty of room to run and play, and if she is inside while her family is away, she should be safely crated. A home with a secure yard or a family committed to providing lots of exercise would be ideal for this active girl.Shadow is heartworm negative, spayed, current on vaccinations, and ready to start her next chapter.🐾 Good with children🐾 Good with other dogs🐾 No cats🐾 Needs space to exercise and thrive🐾 Crate recommended when left alone indoors💙 Adoption Fee: FULLY SPONSORED + tax 💙Shadow has been waiting for the right family to see her potential. She doesn’t need a perfect home—just one that understands her needs and is willing to give her the love, patience, and stability she deserves. Could that be you?Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175.
