***This dog is housed at the Rochester Animal Control facility. In order to meet her, you need to submit an adoption application first. Applications can be found on the homepage of the Paws and Claws website. Once you submit an application, a PCHS staff member will contact you with next steps to meet her.***Meet Kylie Jenner!This beautiful girl was surrendered to Animal Control when her owners could no longer care for her. This bummed her out a bit but she is hopeful she will be able to find a new home very soon. Kylie has been nervous since being in the shelter, and who can blame her? But slowly and surely she is warming up to the officers and learning the routine.Kylie would benefit from an owner that has Cattle Dog/herding dog experience as has a lot of very stereotypical `herding dog traits`. For example... she is very smart, stubborn, and opiniated. With the right owner, she would make a great companion for roaming around the farm, patrolling a large fenced in yard, or learning agility!If Kylie seems like a good fit for you, apply online today!Adoption fee is $300 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Meet our sweet `Little Lady`!Little Lady is just over a year old and has been through so much in her short life. She was brought to us when she became pregnant unexpectedly at 10 months old. We took her into our care and allowed her to give birth and raise her babies in a safe and warm environment. Now that her pups are old enough to find new homes, it is also Little Lady`s turn to find her forever people!Little Lady is thought to be an Australian shepherd/heeler type mix but we do not know for sure. Little Lady has lived with kids and done very well with them. She also seems like she would enjoy a canine companion to play with! Little Lady has tons of energy but is also as sweet as can be. Bear is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd who is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of energy. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you do and will happily soak up all the love and attention you can give. When his needs are met, he is a super cuddly companion who truly enjoys being close to his people. As an Australian Shepherd, Bear needs an active lifestyle and plenty of mental and physical outlets. He would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off energy, along with daily walks and ongoing engagement. An experienced, very active home that understands working breeds would be the best fit for him. Bear must go to a home with no kids. He does live with another dog. He does very well at daycare and boarding. On leash, he can be reactive and will bark at other dogs, as well as at the TV and out the window, so continued structure and guidance will help him succeed. Bear is looking for a committed home that can give him the exercise, enrichment, and affection he deserves. In return, he will give endless loyalty, cuddles, and companionship.
