Hello there! I'm Trinket, a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as my smile. My theme song is "Take a Chance on Me" by ABBA. All I need is one chance to show you what a wonderful companion I am. Friendly, loyal, eager to please, and always ready to learn something new are great words to describe me. My foster family says I'm a happy, kind soul, which works too. Every person and dog I meet is my new best friend (and that includes folks at the vet's office)! At 62 pounds, there's a lot of me to love right now. I already feel better having lost some weight and am determined to keep going. Like everything in life, I'm approaching my fitness journey with optimistic determination. Hi, I’m Cayden. I’m a 5 yr old, 42# Australian Shepherd with luxurious hair, soulful eyes, and a deep love for my people. When we meet, I’ll roll over and let you rub my belly. That’s how you know we are officially friends! I’m a chill guy who likes to see new places with my people and spend time together. My "off switch” means I’m perfectly happy being home and hanging and do not need to train for a marathon. Walking around the neighborhood is my idea of a good time - all those smells! Meet Jesper! Jesper is a 5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd who spent his entire life as a breeder dog before coming into rescue. When he first arrived just two months ago, he was an extremely shut-down little guy. He wanted nothing to do with people, was terrified of being touched, and spent much of his time pacing in circles around the house and yard. Human interaction was something he simply didn't understand. Today, it is incredible to watch his transformation unfold. While Jesper is still very much a work in progress, he has already made tremendous strides. He is now allowing gentle handling and has recently started playing with the other dogs—a huge milestone for a dog who previously lived in a world of fear and uncertainty. He is about 4 to 5 years old and does have a lot of the trademark features of mixed breed dogs from Reservations - "Rezzies", as they are affectionately known in rescue. Like many Rezzies, he could be a mix of cattle dog and German and/or Australian shepherd, just to name a few possible options. He's a handsome and very active dog. He has been vet checked and neutered and his fee is $125. Argo has had some basic training and will require a lot of consistent exercise. This is of the utmost importance in order to keep him well balanced and happy. He is ready for action all the time but gets serious when leashed. He does pretty well on leash walks and loves car rides. He's an affectionate guy, too, who thinks nothing of climbing into a person's lap if he gets the chance. Argo would do best in a home with a large fenced yard. He's NOT a dog for apartment living. He's looking for an ADULT only, single person home as he tends to bond very closely to his person and becomes quite protective. No cats for him.
