Story
Penny is active and affectionate. She likes men more than woman for some reason. Shes very protective, and I believe jealous of the other dog (which she grew up with). She constantly snaps & fights with my older dog, and we just can'tmake her stop... Hate to give her up, but afraid she will severely injure the older dog.She needs to be the ONLY dog ..

Story
Meet Zac – The Sweetest Soul You'll Ever Earn the Trust Of ❤️Zac is a goofy, loving, playful puppy with a heart as big as his paws. His favorite things are romping around with other dogs, curling up in a cozy bed, and happily chewing on his favorite toys. Like any puppy, he's still learning his manners; and he's making wonderful progress every day. What makes Zac truly special is how far he's come. When Zac arrived at Boxers and Buddies, the world was a frightening place. He had spent his entire life isolated in the home where he was born and had never experienced the outside world. Everything was unfamiliar, and everyone was scary. For the first two weeks in foster care, he hid behind the fireplace, too afraid to come out. Then something amazing happened. His foster dog siblings showed him that life could be fun. Little by little, Zac found the courage to explore, to play, and eventually to trust. Today, he enjoys off-leash hikes, greets visitors with curiosity, and has become a happy, affectionate companion to the people he knows and loves.Zac is still discovering that the world is a safe place, and every new experience helps him grow. He'll thrive in a patient, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace. If you're willing to give him the time he needs, you'll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal best friend who will love you with his whole heart. Some dogs are easy to love at first sight. Zac is the kind of dog whose love is earned; but once you've earned it, it's truly unforgettable. If you have a gentle heart, another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus, and you're looking for a companion whose transformation will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life, Zac is waiting to meet you.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
This is Marley. His very favorite thing is to go for a car ride. Did you say "Adventure"! Marley is a chill guy who loves fetch, tug, tennis balls and sleeping with his person. Marley loves to be by his person...always. Pats, belly rubs and hugs are his love language. Walks and runs also make him a happy guy. Marley loves kids, especially girls, and dogs his size (smaller dogs make him nervous). He has also lived with cats. Marley can be cautious around men and just asks that they develop a plan together to build a great relationship...slow and easy is the best way to start.

Story
Meet Elegance, aka EllieEllie is a sweet young girl who came to Boxers & Buddies after being rescued from the Washoe County Regional Animal Services urgent list. Since arriving in her foster home, she has been making progress every single day. At 37lbs, she's a great medium sized dog. Ellie can be a little skittish, but she is slowly gaining confidence and learning that she is safe. Her foster family says they can see her becoming more comfortable and trusting as each day passes. She also has plenty of one year old energy, so she’s always ready for some fun!Ellie gets along well with her foster family’s resident German Shepherd and enjoys having a canine friend around. She can be a little enthusiastic with her play, though, and sometimes doesn’t realize when her playmate has had enough. She can also display some resource guarding around things she considers valuable, so continued guidance and positive reinforcement will be important as she learns appropriate boundaries. And then there are the things Ellie absolutely loves: toys and cuddles! Give her a favorite toy and some time to play, followed by a cozy spot next to her people, and she’s a happy girl.Ellie is looking for a family who will be patient with her, continue helping her build confidence, and appreciate all the silly, playful, affectionate moments that come with a young dog. She’s making progress every day, and we can’t wait to see just how far this beautiful girl goes.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
🐶 Nano is a one-and-a-half-year-old Basenji/Malinois mix with the cutest smile and a personality that keeps everyone laughing. This handsome boy is currently in a professional training facility where he’s learning how to be the very best version of himself. He has already mastered his basic commands and is now continuing to work on social interactions and confidence-building. Nano is incredibly smart, affectionate, and deeply loyal. More than anything, he wants a person to bond with and call his own. He would likely love having a playful canine companion to help him burn off some of that young dog energy. Nano is dog selective, but he has done well with slow, thoughtful introductions and would likely benefit from learning from a calm, confident dog that can help continue to show him the ropes. He has shown that he can coexist successfully with other dogs when given proper structure, leadership, and time to build trust. No cats for this handsome boy. Nano also really loves his belongings and personal space, but he’s actively working on sharing and making great progress. He is currently located in 📍Santa Clarita, but transport can absolutely be arranged for the right adopter anywhere. Nano is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships take patience, structure, and trust — and in return, he’ll give you his whole heart. 🖤🐾
