Story
Oreo is a smart, loyal young guardian dog looking for her forever home. She wandered onto a farm as a puppy and chose to stay, showing just how resourceful and intelligent she is. She is an excellent protector against snakes, foxes, coyotes, and other wildlife, but needs a secure, sturdy fence as we believe she is half Great Pyrenees and a real wanderer. Oreo is currently heartworm positive but started her treatment nearly 3 months ago and is expected to make a complete recovery in about 3 more months with no lasting complications. She has never shown aggression toward people, including babies and young children. She gets along with our other guardian dog well, but she has bitten a very small dog once, so we cannot recommend a home with small dogs. Having always lived outdoors, Oreo will benefit from continued training. She would thrive with a loving family in a rural home that appreciates a devoted, protective companion.

Story
Meet Giget, a delightful 1-year-old female Border Collie ready to find her forever home! Giget is a playful and happy girl who loves treats and seeks affection, making her a wonderful companion for those who enjoy interactive and loving pets. She has a moderate energy level, perfect for families or individuals who can engage her in fun activities without overwhelming her. Giget is good with women and seems friendly toward other dogs, especially female dogs, with whom she has shown positive interactions. While she is still learning leash walking, basic commands, and coming when called, she is easily redirected and eager to please, making her a great candidate for training and growth in a patient and loving environment. She appears to be potty trained, which is a great start for her new family. Giget enjoys playtime, including zoomies and playing with toys, and has shown a playful bond with her sister, Misty. Ideal for an adopter who can provide consistent training and plenty of affection, Giget will thrive in a home that offers both companionship and opportunities for mental and physical stimulation. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful Border Collie to brighten your days, Giget is waiting to meet you!

Story
Birdie is the cutest little border collie/blue heeler mix you will ever see (though her sisters Becca, Blossom, Bubbles and brother Baxter might disagree!) She was born 3/21/26 into the rescue so she has had nothing but love and snuggles since birth. Miss Birdie will follow you anywhere.  She loves playing and running with the other puppies but know that she will stop everything to be held and snuggled.  She will be your little shadow!  A dedicated little companion who will love and follow you everywhere. :) ##2762796##

Story
Blossom is a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix (born 3/21/26) with a heart full of happiness and a tail that’s always ready to wag! She’s the adventurous, fearless pup of the bunch and never misses a chance to investigate something new, which means she occasionally finds herself in a little puppy trouble. Blossom loves being outside, but she’s just as happy curled up next to her foster on the couch for a cozy nap. She gets along wonderfully with everyone, including dogs of all ages, goats, donkeys, and even chickens. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and fun-loving puppy who will keep you smiling every day, Blossom is your girl!   ##2762797##

Story
Baxter is a beautiful border collie/blue heeler mix.  He is a sweet, quiet guy.  He is already honing his fetching skills and loves to play and run with his brother and sisters.  He is happiest when he is curled up next to his humans or other pets.  Baxter is crate trained and will come to his name.  He would make a wonderful family pet for any size of family.  Applications can be found at carerescueok.org! ##2762792##
