Meet Morpheus! This handsome, playful young Border Collie mix is looking for a loving new home. What is he mixed with? Your guess is as good as ours—but whatever it is, it resulted in one adorable pup! Morpheus is a people-loving boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether he’s snuggling on the couch, following you around the house, or simply soaking up your attention, he’s happiest when he’s with his humans. Due to some difficult life circumstances, his family has made the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can continue to receive all the love and care he deserves. This decision was made out of love and with Morpheus’s best interests at heart. Morpheus’s adoption fee is negotiable to the right family. She was a street stray. I planned on keeping her. I can’t. She is great with cats, children and dogs 30 pounds and up. Just NO small dogs. Honestly Izzy is a great dog, just not with little dogs. Meet Sokka 🖤 Sokka is the kind of dog who may not hand you his heart on day one — but once he does, he gives you all of it. This 1-year-old Border Collie mix is incredibly smart, loyal, affectionate, and deeply devoted to the people he trusts. He’s the kind of boy who wants to know where his person is, what they’re doing, and whether he can be involved. Once he feels safe with you, he is wonderfully loving and happiest when he can be close to his people. But Sokka needs a little understanding in return. New places, new people, and big changes can be overwhelming for him. He isn’t the dog who will walk into a new home and immediately act like he’s lived there forever. He needs time to decompress, observe, figure things out, and decide that you’re someone he can trust. He needs someone who will let him be a little unsure without giving up on him. And that patience is where the magic happens. Because underneath those initial nerves is a goofy, affectionate, incredibly intelligent boy who desperately wants a person of his own. Once Sokka bonds with you, you’ll see a completely different side of him — the devoted companion who wants to be near you, loves his people fiercely, and has so much personality waiting to come out. Sokka also comes with one very important requirement: a secure, fully fenced yard. He has a history of getting loose, so his new family will need to be especially careful with doors, gates, and transitions while he settles in. **Meet Waylon!** Waylon is a four-year-old Blue Heeler with a big personality, a loving heart, and so much to offer the right family! This handsome boy is neutered, incredibly smart, and ready to find someone to call his best friend. Waylon is currently our unofficial office dog here at the City of Tuttle Animal Shelter, which means he gets a little extra attention and maybe even a little spoiled! He's a very well-behaved boy who already knows how to sit, comes when called, and loves to play fetch. Like any good Heeler, he can get a little energetic, but he's also perfectly happy spending time with his favorite people. Waylon generally does well with other dogs, although he can get a little nervous when other dogs become overwhelming. He would benefit from thoughtful introductions and companions who respect his space. One important thing to know about Waylon is that he isn't particularly comfortable around young children. Based on what we've observed, he appears to be fearful of them, and we understand that his boundaries weren't always respected in his previous environment. Because of this, we believe Waylon would thrive best in a home without young children. A child-free home would be ideal, although a home with older, respectful children may be considered. Waylon really is one of those dogs who steals your heart without even trying. In fact, our kennel technician has already told her husband that if Waylon doesn't find a home, she might just be bringing him home herself! This sweet, intelligent boy deserves a family who will appreciate his loyalty, respect his boundaries, and give him all the love he has to offer. If you're looking for a devoted companion who could quickly become your best friend, Waylon might just be your guy!
