Imagine, if you can, the energetic, fun-loving goofiness of Scooby-Doo and the calm, gentle demeanor of Gentle Ben all wrapped up in a bundle with the most soulful eyes you’ll ever look into. Having a problem visualizing it?  Well, look at my picture!  It’s me – Wishbone!!    My foster mom says I’m as gentle as I am large. I’m can be a little shy at first, especially with men, but once I warm up to you, I’ll steal your heart!   I’m a very chilled out guy who loves to romp and play, especially tug-of-war with my rope toy.  I’ll keep you smiling and laughing with my comical antics. But I’m also a diligent protector of my house and yard – I always let my foster mom know if anyone or anything comes close.     I’m potty-trained and crate-trained and know how to sit, shake, and lay down.  I’m super dog-friendly, but don’t really like cats.     I enjoy playing with my toys and always have one in my mouth.  I love to play tug and will bring you and my foster-siblings toys to entice you/them to play tug with me.   I love being around kids!  They are so much fun to play tag & tug with!      In the house, I don’t bother anything I’m not supposed to. I don’t chew up things or jump on people. I ride calmly in the car, and don’t pull when on a leash.  I know my manners and can act like I’m at a formal ball when I need to  -  I’m the perfect gentleman!!   I’d really like to have a family with kids &/or dogs to play in the yard with, or an active adult(s) that will take me on walks, runs, hikes, those sort of things.   I’ll be a great addition to your family!  I promise I’ll be your bestest buddy ever!!     ##2466059##

Meet Harvey Dent! Harvey is a 5–6 year old, 50 lb. sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s never met a stranger—this goofy boy loves people and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. Harvey has done well with other dogs he’s been around and tends to be on the submissive side. He’s not interested in being “alpha,” but he does get pretty excited around cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit. He’s also great with kids, though his playful, rough-and-tumble style makes him better suited for older children or teens. Here’s a little more about Harvey: Training: Potty trained, kennel trained, and loves car rides. Leash walking is still a work in progress since he gets easily distracted. Playtime: Energetic, silly, and sometimes a little rough! He can’t have stuffed toys (he’s a pro toy-destroyer) but enjoys Nylabones and supervised rawhides. Quirks: Has a loud, unique bark, loves to “talk back,” and has a habit of licking just about anything—beds, shoes, toes… you name it! He’s also a bit of an escape artist and can climb a chain-link fence, so a secure yard is a must. Personality: Stubborn at times, but endlessly loving. Harvey gives the best cuddles and kisses and will keep you laughing with his silly antics. Harvey is looking for a home where he’ll get plenty of structure, playtime, and love. If you’re ready for a loyal, funny, and affectionate companion, Harvey is your guy! Story
Nana is a very sweet, VERY smart (approx) 8 year old Aussie/lab mix with a lot of love to give. She loves cuddling and playing. She does require a more experienced dog owner due to her high reactivity anxiety. She has been through credible training programs, which has helped, but unfortunately she has exhibited behaviors towards our baby that we will not risk. She should not be around children for their safety and hers. She gets too anxious around things that are fast and unpredictable. She has never aggressively done anything and she is not a mean spirited dog- she’s just anxious. Some of her triggers are loud cars passing by, kids, and small animals. She has a very high prey drive. She has lived in our house with our older dog and our two cats (unsure how she would be with other cats). All this aside, she really is the best girl. She is such a special dog and we would not let her go so easily.
