Story
Meet Eragon! Eragon is 6 months old and about 21 pounds. We are not exactly sure what Eragon is but he is "tall and lanky" so we think he may be mixed with Labrador Retriever and Border Collie. It is hard to say for sure but Eragon may be 40 to 50 pounds when fully grown. Eragon has your typically puppy energy, playful fun and adorable! He does well in a crate and could still use help with potty training and on a leash to make walks fun and exciting. Eragon has done great with other dogs and humans both big and small. Interested in becoming a forever home for Eragon Earl? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Eragon Earl. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Eragon Earl the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our normal adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Perfect duo for perfect couple. Bonded pair. I'd like to see them go to a couple to ensure both dogs receive equal attention. It'll have to be a male/female or female/female couple simply due to the fact that Bunny's nervous w/humans & has only ever had a female owner. She''ll need her female human companion. They're high-energy breeds and must go to a home with a fenced backyard. Bonus points for active couples; these dogs would be PERFECTto go on hikes, road trips, play disc golf (Panda), or hang at the lake/river. They love being outdoors. Bunny: Husky/Great Pyrenees mix, female, 3.5 years. She's shy around strangers & needs her female human to cling to sometimes. Bunny LOVES all dogs. She's a hoot at the dog park & it’s definitely her favorite place on earth. Panda: Border Collie, male, 3 yrs. Very obedient, intelligent, trainable, Panda is by far the best dog I've ever had. He's a loyal companion & easy to care for. It will not take you long to fall in love with these dogs.

This is Spike.  He is a beautiful boy who has lost his home through no fault of his own.  His mom has moved to a nursing home and Spike is living with a family member until his new forever home is found. He is very happy go lucky, loves to run and play. He needs to learn a few manners but sits and has so much potential with repetition and reward.  If you would like to meet Spike, please complete the adoption application so that we may see if Spike is a good fit for your family.  This does not obligate you to an adoption.  Spike is a courtesy post and is not part of our organization.  We are assisting the owner in finding Spike the home he deserves. https://form.jotform.com/truefriendsok/true-friends-animal-rescue-adoptionJuly 22, 2024, 1:01 pm

I’ll try to get some better pics of Shiva soon. Bio: Shiva is as sweet as they come. She literally melts into you for pets and cuddles and craves attention! She is very smart and learns quickly. Anything to please her people! She gets along GREAT with dogs of all sizes. She has not shown any food or toy aggression. She just wants to be included in the fun! She would do great in a home with a friend to play with. Untested with cats, but I don’t see that being an issue. She is a ball of energy, but with some training, I think she would be fine around small children as well.  ##1984095##

Neo is another adorable pup recently brought into our program thanks to a loving foster saving him!! He is a Border Collie/Pittie mix, with quite a range of other breeds mixed in!  Neo went from from dumped on the side of the road at 8 weeks old with his brothers to stunningly handsome! Neo is approximately 5 months old and the sweetest boy! If you get close enough, you are SURE to get puppy kisses and cuddles from him! Neo has been fostered around kids and dogs of all sizes. He has learned his basic manners and is doing well learning to walk on a leash. He has also mastered the doggy door in his foster home, so no potty training required! Neo is a perfect teen pup that would be great for any family. Tons of cuteness, minus all the puppy training! Apply now to meet this handsome boy! ##2009123##

Story
Unfortunately owner dog asthma/allergies have progressed to a point where, even though we have taken all manner of mitigations, we can no longer have Miss Gracie in the home. Further, we are selling our home soon and our next stop will not allow us to have Gracie. She has been a wonderful companion, whether running with us, playing fetch, or just having her belly scratched. She is equally at home playing as she is chilling on her doggie bed. Gracie is great with people, kids, and other dogs and she is not food aggressive. She is not a huge barker, unless someone is at the door or in the backyard (like the yard care guys) which is a great security feature 😊 She has never bitten anyone and for all her barks when a critter is in the yard, she has never harmed any (she is actually afraid once she gets up close, it's funny to see 🤣).

Story
SCAN QR CODE FOR FULL BIO Hey there, I’m Leo DiCaprio! I’m a 6year old border collie/lab mix. The best way to describe me is a floppy eared goofball who loves nothing more than playing with my foster brother and sister and you throwing me a tennis ball so I can retrieve it! I also love frisbee’s! My foster parents say I’m completely potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I do love my walks around the block. I grew up with an older lady previously, before she was no longer able to care for me, so I know how to be gentle and if you don’t want me on the couch, you just have to remind me and I’ll make my spot on the floor or my favorite nap mat! I also do very well at sleeping on the floor next to your bed, I like to make sure you are safe from intruders. My foster parents say I may be a tad lousy at alerting you though, because they say I’m not a barker at all. I do really well with other dogs, but cats may be a little too much excitement for me and I like to play chase a little too rough. With my size, I may be better with older children because I’m relearning how to be a playful dog. However, if you do have little kiddos, with some proper training, I believe I can learn to be gentle. I love booty scratches and ear scratches and will be your best friend if you have treats! I know how to sit and shake and I’m very eager to learn more. I promise to be your absolute best friend and companion if you would like to give me the chance at a forever home.

Story
Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, active and playful guy! He is about 12-18 months old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 51 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd. Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and we will find his perfect forever home for him! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Story
Are you looking for a unique, petite bundle of fun...look no further...this is Jessye Storm. Jessye is 5 years old and only 36 pounds. Due to her small stature and coloring we think Jessye may have some Aussie and Welsh Corgi in her. This dog is the real deal in a small package! She is crate trained, housebroken, very gentle on the leash, quiet, loves children and adults alike and she has done well with introductions to other dogs. She will let you know when she needs to go outside but she is not a fan of hot weather. Jessye will give gentle hugs and kisses and loves car rides and any adventure that you will like to take her on. Jessye is waiting for her perfect family...could that be you! Jessye had bloodwork and a dental, and is currently being treated for heartworms. Interested in becoming a forever home for Jessye Storm?
