Meet Harvey Dent! Harvey is a 5–6 year old, 50 lb. sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s never met a stranger—this goofy boy loves people and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. Harvey has done well with other dogs he’s been around and tends to be on the submissive side. He’s not interested in being “alpha,” but he does get pretty excited around cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit. He’s also great with kids, though his playful, rough-and-tumble style makes him better suited for older children or teens. Here’s a little more about Harvey: Training: Potty trained, kennel trained, and loves car rides. Leash walking is still a work in progress since he gets easily distracted. Playtime: Energetic, silly, and sometimes a little rough! He can’t have stuffed toys (he’s a pro toy-destroyer) but enjoys Nylabones and supervised rawhides. Quirks: Has a loud, unique bark, loves to “talk back,” and has a habit of licking just about anything—beds, shoes, toes… you name it! He’s also a bit of an escape artist and can climb a chain-link fence, so a secure yard is a must. Personality: Stubborn at times, but endlessly loving. Harvey gives the best cuddles and kisses and will keep you laughing with his silly antics. Harvey is looking for a home where he’ll get plenty of structure, playtime, and love. I’m can be a little shy at first, especially with men, but once I warm up to you, I’ll steal your heart! I’m a very chilled out guy who loves to romp and play, especially tug-of-war with my rope toy. I’ll keep you smiling and laughing with my comical antics. But I’m also a diligent protector of my house and yard – I always let my foster mom know if anyone or anything comes close. I’m potty-trained and crate-trained and know how to sit, shake, and lay down. I’m super dog-friendly, but don’t really like cats. I enjoy playing with my toys and always have one in my mouth. I love to play tug and will bring you and my foster-siblings toys to entice you/them to play tug with me. I love being around kids! They are so much fun to play tag & tug with! In the house, I don’t bother anything I’m not supposed to. I don’t chew up things or jump on people. I ride calmly in the car, and don’t pull when on a leash. I know my manners and can act like I’m at a formal ball when I need to - I’m the perfect gentleman!! I’d really like to have a family with kids &/or dogs to play in the yard with, or an active adult(s) that will take me on walks, runs, hikes, those sort of things. I got Ellie from my friend who found on the streets where she used to belong to a homeless man. She is very energetic but is in some serious need of behavioral training as she chews on things and gets into things she isn’t supposed to. She is sweet and loves to nibble your hand when you pet her. She does have an issue with biting the leash in walks when you don’t go the way she wants you to. She is minot crate trained. She has separation anxiety. She is a good companion for someone who can be there for her and someone who has an enclosed yard.

Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is approximately 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs!
