Story
Meet Harvey Dent! Harvey is a 5–6 year old, 50 lb. sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s never met a stranger—this goofy boy loves people and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. Harvey has done well with other dogs he’s been around and tends to be on the submissive side. He’s not interested in being “alpha,” but he does get pretty excited around cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit. He’s also great with kids, though his playful, rough-and-tumble style makes him better suited for older children or teens. Here’s a little more about Harvey: Training: Potty trained, kennel trained, and loves car rides. Leash walking is still a work in progress since he gets easily distracted. Playtime: Energetic, silly, and sometimes a little rough! He can’t have stuffed toys (he’s a pro toy-destroyer) but enjoys Nylabones and supervised rawhides. Quirks: Has a loud, unique bark, loves to “talk back,” and has a habit of licking just about anything—beds, shoes, toes… you name it! He’s also a bit of an escape artist and can climb a chain-link fence, so a secure yard is a must. Personality: Stubborn at times, but endlessly loving. Harvey gives the best cuddles and kisses and will keep you laughing with his silly antics. Harvey is looking for a home where he’ll get plenty of structure, playtime, and love. If you’re ready for a loyal, funny, and affectionate companion, Harvey is your guy! To meet him submit an application here - www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application or send inquiries to our adoptions team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com Harvey is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Hattie, a sweet yet spunky girl that will show you all the love that special need fosters can possibly offer. When we say they are special, Hattie is a testament to everything these animals have to offer. Hattie is 3 years old, weighs 35 lbs and has something called hydrocephalus, which has caused blindness, but that doesn’t slow her down at all! Hattie was born with something called hydrocephalus – fluid on her brain. She currently only takes an ant-seizure med and has been doing well with that management in her foster home (Keppra 500mg twice per day, estimated cost $30/month). Ideally, we would love to find an adopter experienced with the condition because these dogs have very unique qualities that will make a transition easier if the adopter is experienced. Hattie has lived in her foster home since she was three months old. She has a very strict routine (as hydros need) and does not like any sort of change to that routine. Her foster will want to visit with the adopter to ensure a similar routine can be carried into her next home. Hattie will need time to learn a new environment on her terms. She will never be a cuddly dog, and for the most part she doesn’t interact with other dogs a lot. She cannot be forced to a fast adjustment – it will only set her up for failure. While she loves being the company of other dogs, don’t expect her to play and behave like a typical dog. A lot of times she will relax off to the side and watch others play. Hattie lives with foster siblings of all ages and sizes, as well as varying needs, and does great with everyone…in her own way. When new fosters enter the home, she is allowed to explore them on her own terms, and is never forced to interact with them. While she does great on potty training, due to her condition, she will always have accidents. Hydrocephalus dogs tend to not understand fully the concept of potty training, so an awareness to that will need to exist. Due to her condition, only local applications will be considered (Oklahoma only) and potential adopters need to be open to having a home visits done. Multiple visits and observing Hattie in any new home environment is a must. She needs a home with a fenced yard; apartments will not be considered. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Hattie is spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped! Her adoption fee is $250.

Story
This sweet, intelligent boy is the total package — quiet, thoughtful, eager to learn, and already doing amazing with crate and potty training. He may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he settles in, his loving personality shines through and he bonds deeply with his people. He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion, especially since he’s so respectful and gentle with older and bigger dogs. Smart and attentive, he’s the kind of pup who’s going to excel with training and blossom into an incredibly loyal best friend for a family willing to give him the mental enrichment, guidance, and love he deserves.

Story
Luna is a loving, sweet girl who has been a special part of our family. She is 3 years old, but we always say “she’s just a baby” because of how gentle, playful, and affectionate she is.She absolutely loves kids and does really well around them. Luna enjoys being around people, getting attention, and just being part of the family. She has a calm, easygoing nature but still has her playful moments that make her so fun to be around.Luna does have a limp she has had it since we got her, but it does not take away from her loving personality or her ability to enjoy life. She still moves around, plays, and interacts like a happy, normal dog.We are looking for a new home where Luna will be truly loved and cared for. She would do best with a family who will give her attention, patience, and a safe, stable environment.Luna is best described as affectionate, gentle, loyal, playful, and great with kids. She has so much love to give and will make an amazing companion.

Story
Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is approximately 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs!
