Story
Jagger is an 8 year old border collie / husky cross. He is 60 lbs of short creamy white fur with a striking dappled red nose & ears. He has a truly goofy grin when he’s happy and his expressive toffee brown eyes make it hard to stay mad at him for any length of time. He is house trained and absolutely adores his crate. He often puts himself to bed in it if if his people are up past his bedtime. He also likes to nap on the couch. Jagger loves playtime, his absolute favourite toy is his tug rope. He’ll amaze you at how fast plush toys can be taken apart. However, he is very gentle with his rubber toys. He tends to get bored, so rotating his toys is a good idea. Outside he plays with a large rubber ball but has the typical husky attitude after a few throws of “if you lose it again it’s not my problem “. Jagger has never truly played with a Frisbee, but given the space would astound you at how high he can jump. He is very smart and learns quickly. He’s food motivated and knows sit, down, wait, look at me, with me, turn, and of course high five. Jagger leans more towards his husky side. He walks well on his gentle leader but still has a tendency to pull when distracted. He likes nothing better than to see new places, he occasionally gets car sick but this is solved by timing his meals accordingly. Jagger is fascinated by water but doesn’t want to be in it, he will avoid puddles at all costs and take you home if it starts to rain on a walk. He loves being around it and will bring you right to the water’s edge, just don’t try to make him go in. Jagger is dog reactive, and will bark and lunge when he sees other dogs. This is behaviour can lead to him redirecting on whoever is near. When unable to escape he does have some leash aggression, interpreting any movement towards him as a threat. He has been making great strides towards correcting this, and rarely reacts to neighboring dogs. He would benefit greatly from a course specializing in reactive dogs. Jagger is an absolute sweetheart. He’s a cuddly fun boy that would do well in a dog savvy home with a well fenced yard with people willing to provide the training that the high energy and northern breeds need. He needs a quiet adult home with no other pets and experienced owners. Jagger is available for adoption together through Grand River All Breed rescue. The adoption donation is $400. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com.

Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 ♡ 🧡 Meet Ma-eum A gentle soul learning to love again Ma-eum spent his early years tied outside on a farm, living in fear. He was abused by a male owner and frightened by children who threw balls at him. Because of that, he is still afraid of men, loud playground sounds, and the sight of bouncing toys. But despite all this, Ma-eum has the gentlest heart. For the past two years, he has been living in a patient and loving foster home. He has made slow, steady progress — on his terms — and is now ready for the next chapter of his life. 🧬 Personality Ma-eum is a quiet, thoughtful boy with a soft energy. He feels safest around gentle women with warm voices, and he truly thrives in calm, peaceful homes. He may keep his distance from men indoors, but sometimes shows more courage when outdoors. He isn’t the kind of dog who will run into your arms — but with time and patience, he’ll follow you anywhere. He enjoys peaceful walks, nosework games, gentle pets, and long naps by your side. He doesn't bark much, and he waits quietly when left alone after a short adjustment. 🏡 At Home ✅ House-trained (prefers peeing on vertical surfaces — his foster can provide wall-to-floor pads) ✅ Good with calm dogs (interested and social but may growl at overly excited dogs) ✅ Neutral to cats (no strong prey drive) ✅ Tolerates children (nervous around fast movements but never aggressive) ✅ Excellent in the car ✅ Loves brushing and gentle touch 🚫 Afraid of balls and squeaky toys — he prefers games with treats instead 💛 Ma-eum is looking for… A family who will let him set the pace. Someone who doesn’t expect instant cuddles but understands how meaningful it is when a shy dog chooses to stay close. Ideally, a female adopter or a quiet household with gentle energy. 📦 Foster home can provide pee pad setup 📍 Adoption includes interview & home check 📩 If Ma-eum’s story touched your heart, we’d love to tell you more. He’s been waiting a long time for someone who sees past the fear — and into his true, beautiful heart

Pelusa | 40 lbs | 2 years old| Fun and affectionate personality | GTA Stop scrolling-- you just found your new best friend. And the twist? She's gorgeous! Pelusa is fun, affection and good vibes on four legs. Do you like adventures? Omg same! Do you enjoy playing with toys, balls, and sticks? Say less. Are you partial to an evening snuggle? Sign her up! Are you interested in having a faithful shadow? Is it cool if she's furry? We've got just the girl. Pelusa is a delight. She gives hugs by wrapping her arms around your legs, plays with toys like it's her paid job, and is game for pretty much anything her family wants to do. She is great on hikes and outdoor adventures, could happily come with you to pet friendly workplaces, and is also happy to chill on the couch at the end of the day. She's confident and adaptable, and responds well to direction. If you love dogs, have an active lifestyle, and are open to a loyal and slightly goofy sidekick, then this dog could light up your whole life. She's so much fun that she makes everything better just by being there. She would do well with a person or family who is energetic and home a fair bit. She's dog friendly so she'd be a great second dog, but is probably a little TOO much fun for a senior or a lower energy dog. She's kid friendly but would prefer a house with children over 10 who can appreciate her bouncy, lovable brand of play. With Pelusa in your life, your main problem will be how often you're stopped by admiring her beautiful looks and infectious personality. This is what you sign up for when you choose such a magnetic BFF! If you think you've got the big and open heart to match Pelusa's, then please apply at the link. Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️

Story
ALL ABOUT ME Name: Luna Age: 1 year old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Border Collie-Jindo Mix Colour: White Weight: 12kg / 26.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m Luna — a gentle, elegant girl with a quiet spirit and a big heart. I was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Busan City Shelter. Thanks to my rescuers, I’m now safe and well-cared for. What I need next is a forever home filled with calm, love, and the warmth of human connection.   MY HEALTH No known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I have the soft grace of a Border Collie — calm, intelligent, and quietly affectionate. I love being around people and enjoy outdoor time, but I settle just as easily indoors. I don’t need to be the center of attention — just near you is enough. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or a shared moment of eye contact, I bring peace wherever I go. I bond deeply and love quietly — I may not be loud, but I’m unforgettable.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m incredibly affectionate and polite. I approach both new and familiar people with gentle confidence, happily accepting pets and cuddles. I lean in close, make loving eye contact, and quietly melt into your arms. I’m calm, well-mannered, and deeply connected to the people I love. With Dogs: I’m friendly and social, especially with dogs my size. I enjoy calm play and respectful greetings. If another dog is aggressive or overwhelming, I prefer to walk away — no drama here. High-energy dogs can be a bit much for me, so I’d do best with calm or moderate-energy playmates. With Cats: I haven’t lived with cats yet, but given my gentle nature, I would likely adjust well with a slow and proper introduction.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level — just the right mix of outdoor enjoyment and indoor calm. I enjoy going for walks and taking in the world around me. I may pull a little on the leash out of excitement, but I listen well and follow my handler’s guidance. Sudden noises might make me nervous, but I recover quickly with reassurance.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food and eat peacefully around others I rest calmly in my kennel I rarely bark — I’m a peaceful presence in the home I’m mostly potty-trained and do well with outdoor bathroom routines I’m eager to keep learning with patience and positive reinforcement   MY IDEAL HOME I’d love a gentle, loving family who appreciates quiet companionship and emotional connection. My ideal home would include:   A calm, low-stress environment where I can truly relax People who enjoy soft cuddles, nature walks, and peaceful days A secure space where I feel safe, respected, and part of the family Ideally a home with another friendly, calm dog — but I’m also content as your one-and-only   SPECIAL NOTES I’m not the loudest dog in the room — but I’m one of the most loyal. I bring a soft, healing energy that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. I’m elegant, intuitive, and gentle to the core. If you’re looking for a best friend who will walk beside you through calm and quiet moments, I’m right here waiting for you. ##2559291##

Story
Currently in a Toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust. After some fun and exercise, I’m more than happy to relax quietly at home. I’ve got a calm, sensitive side too. I’ve spent most of my life around women, so I might be a bit shy around men at first. But please don’t worry — with patience and gentle care, I’ll come closer, lean in, and show you how much love I have to give. What I’m really looking for is someone who’s ready to build a bond — who’ll walk with me, talk with me, and understand that trust takes time but grows deep. If that sounds like you, I think we could be a perfect match. I’m ready to give my heart. Are you ready to be my forever family? 💛 Love, Dior
