Story
Eden / Female / 2 Years / 60 lbs / Border Collie-Black Lab Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / Unknown with Cats / From Mississauga According to her foster momma, Eden is a “perfectly polite angel.” Unless you’re her stuffie, then she’ll tear out your guts and eat it. But beyond this one curious quirk, Eden is the perfect dog and would be the perfect addition to almost any home. As a two-year-old border collie mix, Eden has energy to spare. She’s playful, affectionate, and expressive, but has just a splash of timidness that makes her easy to walk despite her size. She’s in her happy place when she’s in her bed chewing on her many toys, or when she’s out exploring the world. When it’s time for cuddles, she’ll gently place her head in your lap and look up with those big puppy-dog eyes. She’s shy with strangers, both dogs and people, but she’s always curious about newcomers, and she quickly warms up when given a positive response. She loves to play with other dogs she’s gotten to know, and the perfect home for her might include another furry friend to help her burn off some of that energy. Otherwise, dog-savvy children would be a good match for her playfulness. At 60 lbs, Eden is a little big to be cooped up in a tiny apartment. Unless you live near a decent-sized dog park, a home with a backyard is a better fit for Eden. Two good 30-minute walks are essential for Eden’s energy level. She takes walks with excited enthusiasm, but she doesn’t try to pull on her leash; instead, she focuses on the many smells of the outdoors. Eden knows all the basics of dog training, including sit, stay, lie down, and paw. She’s fully potty-trained and doesn’t seem to require a crate as she readily settles on her doggy bed when left alone. She doesn’t chew furniture, she doesn’t jump on counters, and she doesn’t go looking for trouble. While Eden may love her toys, she should only be given hard chew toys and not soft stuffed toys. This is due to her aforementioned quirk; if given the chance, she’ll tear a stuffy apart and eat whatever’s inside. Proper training may be able to break her of this bad habit, but the simplest solution is to just keep her away from soft toys. Eden has a condition called luxating patella, or in simple terms, a kneecap that can occasionally shift out of place. The good news is that her vet has no concerns about it, and it doesn’t cause her any pain or impact her day-to-day life. You may notice the occasional skip or hop in her step, but she quickly carries on like nothing happened—back to being her perfectly polite, happy self. If you are interested in adopting one of the puppies, please fill out an application at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Eden's adoption fee is $850. Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️

Story
Meet Hanni   • Name: Hanni • Age: 2 years • Sex: Spayed Female • Breed: Border Collie Mix • Color: Black & White • Weight: 13 kg • Height (shoulder): 45 cm   Rescue Story In February 2025, Hanni and another dog were abandoned at a slaughterhouse by their owner. After the facility shut down, they were transferred to a municipal shelter. Hanni was rescued in March 2025 and has been preparing for her forever home ever since.   ‍‍ Social with People Hanni is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, leaning in for pets and attention without hesitation. She enjoys being held, shows her belly once comfortable, and loves physical affection.   She has been gentle with children around 13 years old, though she has not been tested with infants or toddlers.   In unfamiliar environments such as the vet, she may become nervous and resist handling—especially around sensitive areas like her hindquarters. However, in her foster home, she does very well with grooming, baths, nail trims, and daily care routines.   She loves interactive play with people, including tug and fetch, and truly thrives on human companionship.   Social with Other Dogs Hanni is curious and interested in other dogs, often wanting to approach and greet them during walks. She is currently learning to wait and practice better leash manners.   Because she can be a bit forward, she may come across as overly enthusiastic or “rude” to some dogs. She can be pushy with smaller dogs, so supervision is important. With larger dogs, she tends to be more respectful.   Once comfortable in an open environment, she plays well and currently coexists nicely with her foster dog. However, if provoked, she may engage in conflict, so careful introductions to new dogs are recommended.   With Cats Hanni shows curiosity toward cats during walks but follows her handler well when redirected. She may try to chase birds.   Energy Level As a Border Collie mix, Hanni has a higher-than-average energy level. She benefits greatly from regular outdoor exercise and mental stimulation such as training, games, or enrichment activities.   ‍ Walking & Exercise Hanni is currently working on loose-leash walking. She tends to pull, especially when excited or when she sees other dogs. She enjoys running more than slow walks and may vocalize (bark or make sounds) when excited.   Other Behaviors • No food guarding toward people or dogs • Eats well with no picky habits • Crate trained (eats and rests comfortably in crate) • Travels well, including long car rides • Rarely barks, but may bark when playing or seeking attention • Does not bark at visitors   Training Hanni knows: Sit Down Stay Paw Speak House (crate command)   She is smart, eager to engage, and will thrive with continued training and structure.   Ideal Home Hanni would do best with an active adopter who can match her energy and provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. She will make a loving, fun, and devoted companion for someone ready to engage with her bright and energetic personality.   Hanni is full of love, energy, and potential—she just needs the right person to share her life with. Story
Hi, I’m Misty 💛 I’m a 3-year-old girl, a Border Collie–Samoyed mix, and I weigh about 17kg. People often notice my soft, fluffy coat first… but my favorite little charm? One of my ears folds slightly—it’s my special signature look 😊 I was rescued from a shelter where my time was almost up, but you wouldn’t know it if you met me. I’m bright, happy, and full of love. I really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I’ll come right up to you like we’ve known each other forever. I love attention, I love affection, and I love sharing little moments together. I’m also great with other dogs! I get along well with my furry friends and don’t like conflict—I’d much rather play and enjoy good company. If you like going on walks or playing together, I’ll be so happy. And after we’ve had our fun? I’m just as happy to rest quietly by your side. I have a nice balance of energy—I can be active, but I also know how to relax at home. I’m still learning what it means to live in a home. Things like potty habits and house rules might be new to me, but I’m a smart girl (that Border Collie side of me helps!), and I learn quickly when someone is patient and consistent with me. I don’t need perfection. I don’t need everything to be ready from the start. I just need someone who will understand me, teach me gently, and stay by my side as I learn. Because I’m already ready to love you. All I’m waiting for… is a family who will love me back, and give me a place to finally belong. Will you be family? 💛

QUICK FACTS Name: Seoksam Age: 8 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Collie, Jindo mix Color: Golden, Beige Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound just in time, after being at risk due to limited space. Thanks to that second chance, I’m now safe and ready to start my next chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a cheerful, happy-go-lucky boy who absolutely loves both people and dog friends—everyone I meet instantly becomes my new best friend. I’m even more adorable in person, with the softest, fluffiest golden-beige fur you won’t be able to resist.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love people and get so excited to greet everyone I meet—I’m always ready for pets and affection. I’m comfortable being picked up, and I’m a quick learner too! I picked up the command “sit” in no time and love earning treats while learning new tricks. · With Dogs: I love my dog friends just as much—I’m always excited to meet new pups and play. I’m still a young boy learning my manners, so my happy energy can sometimes get a little enthusiastic and pushy, but it’s all coming from a friendly, playful place. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I’m a high-energy, fun-loving boy who thrives on adventure—I love exploring, playing, and staying active. Once I’ve had a good chance to burn off my energy, I settle down beautifully and relax calmly indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I get super excited for walks and may pull at times, but I do follow my handler’s lead overall. I’m still building my confidence and can feel a bit unsure around busy streets, though I’m improving with guidance. I have great manners around people and don’t guard my food, but I can be a little sensitive if other dogs are nearby during mealtime. I settle nicely in my kennel, am comfortable using both pee pads and going outdoors, and while I may mark in a new environment at first, I adjust and settle in quickly.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A family that understands I’m still a young pup and willing to guide me with patience and continue with basic obedience training   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a joyful, happy boy who truly deserves the very best, and any family would be so lucky to have me. I’ll be starting socialization training soon, and I’m ready to grow into an even more well-mannered little gentleman. As a young pup, I’m eager to learn and just need a family to guide me—I have so much potential and so much love to give.   Seoksam's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2689898##

Story
Marco is a purebred, Australian cattle dog a.k.a. blue heeler. He was born with a bilateral cleft lip. This birth defect does not stop him from doing anything. A normal dog would do. He eats just like a normal dog would eat. You just have to brush his teeth a little more often in that area to get the food out and check for grass or sticks that may get stuck in there. Please note this is not the same thing as a cleft palette. This is just a cleft lip and he can eat any type of food completely fine. Marco may look a bit different but he is a gorgeous boy. Marco is currently 5-8 months old 17 pounds. Male Heelers are typically 40-50 pounds fully grown. He is very timid and shy and under socialized but a gentle, nervous boy who has a huge heart and a beautiful soul. He does nervous pee so we are working on this and I do not think this will be forever I think once he gain some confidence, he will be perfectly fine. He gets very nervous with new people, dogs, and places. He needs a committed adopter willing to socialize him, be patient, loving , kind, and start on some basic puppy 101 training when he is ready. He is a nervous nelly but has the absolute sweetest soul. Please give him a chance !!
