Story
Meet Auggie! Auggie is a handsome 1-year-old, 50-pound Collie/Shepherd mix who is basically 50 pounds of puppy—curious, playful, athletic, and always ready to explore! He’s incredibly agile and shows some fun herding and retriever behaviors, so don’t be surprised if he wants to keep track of what everyone is doing one minute and retrieve something the next. He’s also a strong chewer, so durable toys and chews are a must. Auggie sleeps in his crate overnight and stays crated while his foster is at work. It’s definitely not his favorite place, but he accepts it without whining or making a fuss.   What really stands out about Auggie is his incredible temperament. He’s friendly, engaging, adaptable, and genuinely a joy to have around. He’s a smart, attentive young dog with loads of potential and would absolutely excel with training—whether that’s basic obedience, more advanced skills, or activities that give his active body and clever brain something to do. We’ve also been told that Auggie is good with kids and cats. With his wonderful disposition, intelligence, athleticism, and playful puppy spirit, Auggie is ready for a family who will enjoy helping him learn, grow, and become an amazing lifelong companion. Story
I adopted Leia from someone in Harrisburg. She did come from two farm dogs. She's extremely playful, energetic, and cuddly. She definitely needs someone who can give her the attention that she so desires. Back when I had more time, I'd take her and my shepherd to hike in the woods and I do trust her off leash out there. She does chase deer and squirrels, but always comes back and has never caught up to them. Aside from the time constraints, the other reason I'm hoping to re home her is because she gets car sick. So, I'm hoping that she can go somewhere with a large property. I think she'd do fantastic somewhere either with a large fenced in yard or just no close by neighbors. As far as cats go, she seems terrified. I figured that was a farm cat thing from when she was a pup, because I have no cats, myself. Ask any questions you like! I want Leia to get the best life possible.

Story
Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you. Story
🥹 After a couple of months in our care, 8 month old adoptable Vixen is finally starting to let her true personality shine! She is a small pup weighing about 20 lbs and will not get much bigger. This sweet girl has really come out of her shell and is learning that life can be fun. She loves playing in the yard, zooming around with excitement, and relaxing beside the people she knows and trusts. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding.Vixen is looking for a patient family that will continue helping her build confidence and celebrate all of her little victories. Once she trusts you, you'll have a loyal companion by your side. She is selective about her dog friends, so a meet and greet is always needed to introduce a pup sibling! If you're ready to help a deserving pup continue her journey, Vixen can't wait to meet you! 💕🐾📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📍 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA 📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388
