PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Elvis is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix with a big heart, a playful spirit, and 60 pounds of pure love. He has a wonderful balance of energy and calmness—always ready for a game of fetch, but just as happy to relax and spend time with his favorite people. This handsome guy never met a toy he didn't like, but fetch is definitely one of his favorite activities. If you've got a ball to throw, Elvis is ready for the job! When playtime is over, he loves scratches on his hips and lower tummy and will gladly soak up all the affection you can give. Elvis came from a farm and would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention, love, and opportunities to stay active. He's an incredibly sweet dog who loves being part of the family and would make an amazing companion for adventures, backyard games, and cozy evenings at home. He's great with cats and other animals, though if a cat decides to sprint across the room, Elvis may see it as an invitation to a friendly game of chase. (He thinks everyone should want to play as much as he does!) If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving, family-friendly dog who will keep you smiling and remind you to enjoy the simple things in life, Elvis is your guy. All he needs is a forever family to love.

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Story
Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

Story
Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Story
Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you. Story
Meet Jake! This little wranglin’ buckaroo is the cutest cowboy on this side of the Lone Star frontier! With his sweet spirit and big Texas heart, Jake is ready to mosey his way right into his forever family. He’s potty trained, leash trained, obedience trained, and fully house trained — truly the whole package. Jake is wonderful with other dogs and kiddos, making him an easy, joyful addition to just about any home. If you’ve been lookin’ for a loyal sidekick to join you on life’s adventures (or just curl up beside you after a long day on the ranch), Jake is your boy. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NASD/Dog

Story
I adopted Knox from a shelter about 9 months ago. He is a sweet, loyal, and playful dog. He gets along with most people but has intermittent reactivity with new people. He has been good with other dogs and goes to a dog sitters house. I am looking for rehoming because I live in a city apartment and have had difficulty with his reactivity to new people. Knox and I have been to dog training classes and he knows most basic commands including sit, down, heel, paw. He is house trained and crate trained. He would do best in a more rural location where he can run around and play. He would also do best with an experienced owner that can work on his reactivity and continue his training. He has not been around many children so I do not know how he does with them.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Brody – a 5 year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix with the perfect mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. Currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS, Brody is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Brody is that rare, wonderful balance of being active enough to enjoy outdoor adventures and mellow enough to fully embrace a lazy day of Netflix and cuddles. Whether he’s chasing a toy in the backyard or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is the definition of a lovable goofball. He doesn’t mind getting dressed up for holidays or themed events—he’s happy to strut in his rodeo best or festive costume, just as long as he’s doing it with his people. Brody has done best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and tends to prefer a more relaxed playmate. Because of his size and love for running, he may be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs, but he’s also fully content being your one-and-only pup, as long as he has space to stretch his legs and get some zoomies out in the yard. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him to enjoy some off-leash play. He’s a gentle sweetheart with people—always happy to meet new faces and has done well with the children he’s met. Because of his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8–10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love nothing more than a buddy to play with, run around the yard, and then wind down with for snuggles. No cats for Brody, please, as he’s not quite sure how to share space with feline friends. When it comes to leash manners, Brody is a total gentleman. He walks calmly on a loose leash, stays close by, and enjoys a good stroll. He’s also fully housebroken and crate trained, and does wonderfully in his crate when left unsupervised, especially since he currently shares a home with other dogs. He loves his plush toys—especially giving their faces a little “customization” with his enthusiastic chomps! Brody is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives in a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. His foster mom has put in great work helping him polish his obedience skills, and he’s made huge progress! While he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he’s continued to show how well he can adapt. He would be a great match for someone with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. These dogs are deeply loyal, affectionate, and thrive when they have a purpose—whether that’s going on a hike, learning a new trick, or just being your loyal shadow. Brody doesn’t need a super active lifestyle, but he would love a couple of daily walks, light adventure time, and maybe a fun activity like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes to keep his mind sharp and his bond with you strong. At the end of the day, Brody is a happy, affectionate, low-maintenance boy who’s easy to please. All he wants is a soft bed, a few toys, a cozy home, and someone to love him. He’s come so far during his time in foster care and is more than ready to start his next chapter with a family who sees how truly special he is. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
