I am such a good girl ;) Even my rescuers tell me that! I am not sure why I was left alone in a neighborhood, by myself, all alone ?? I deserved so much better, and I am here to say, "SIEZE THE DAY!!!" Because you just don't know if it is your BEST day ever, UNTIL you SIEZE it and DON'T LET GO!!! And seriously, here I am!! Living in a rescue with friends and love and food and safety :D I am now ready for the best family! You would get the best companion, EVER!! I am loyal, I am loving and I am smart AND I can wear a cute pair of pajamas too! Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. If you have a soft spot for seniors and want to make a true difference for a dog who needs it most, Rooney would love to meet you. Clementine (7/10/24) has recently arrived on a transport with two other dogs from the sunny island of St Thomas USVI. Clementine was one of many owned dogs belonging to an older woman who felt she could not provide the proper care. Three of her dogs came to us in the spring (Lucas, Cherry and Shiloh). Clementine is a beautiful medium size little lady, weighing around 40 pounds.Stevie’s a border collie mix with one brown eye and one blue eye. She is vaccinated, spayed, 4DX tested and microchipped. She was one of 12 dogs living in the home so she was very comfortable playing with the other dogs, but slow introductions to new dogs is always recommended. She is excellent with children, but likes to jump and nip (a herding instinct with her breed) and we are working on corrections. She is a little hesitant with men, living on the island with an older woman. She seems non reactive to cats. Zoomies in the yard is one of her favorite pastimes! Meet Bingo, a seven year old red tri Aussie who finds himself in need of a new home through no fault of his own. Bingo is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is not in the ARPH program; we are screening homes for the owner. Bingo is a friendly boy that loves fetching, either balls or Frisbees, and will bring them back. The evaluator referred to him as “a very nice dog”. Bingo would be best with a female canine companion rather than a male, and no cats. He was raised with children who are now ages 9 and 10, but he might be a bit too exuberant for younger ones. He's a sturdy 65 pounds, so restricted food intake and an exercise plan would be in order. He rides well in a crate in a car and is well-behaved at the vet's. Bingo has not lived inside so is not housetrained. But it shouldn't take much to do that; adult dogs normally housetrain much faster and easier because they are physically capable of holding it. He walks well on leash and knows sit but would benefit from further training. He's very smart and willing to learn. This sweet boy has a lot of potential and would love to be your new best friend. He will be very devoted to his person. Meet Louie -- medium in size but big in sparkle. He is a black and white beauty that does well with other dogs but he is not a fan of cats. Louie has perky ears, a striking speckled neck ruff and possesses a calm energy. Louie might take a bit of time to get to know his new family but once that happens, he will show you how wonderful he really is. He is one of those dogs who is equally up for exploring the trail and snuggling on the couch.
